Pixar Animation Studios revealed today four members of its voice cast for its original new feature film “ Onward ,” including Chris Pratt (“Guardians of the Galaxy”), Tom Holland (“Spiderman: Homecoming”), Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“Veep”) and Octavia Spencer (“The Shape of Water”). Directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae, the team behind 2013’s “Monsters University,” “Onward” is slated for theaters on March 6, 2020. Jake Gyllenhaal is ready to bring a little mystery to the Spider-Man universe. The actor is in talks to play the classic Marvel villain Mysterio in the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming . Spider-Man creators Stan Lee and Steve Ditko introduced Mysterio in the comics in 1964. A special effects expert, Quentin Beck used his talents to create elaborate illusions to commit crimes and to fight Spider-Man. Tom Holland starred as the Marvel hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming and recently appeared in Avengers: Infinity War. Jon Watts is returning to direct the sequel to Homecoming, which earned $880 million worldwide. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, two of the screenwriters behind the first movie, are back as well. Iron Spider: Homecoming Rama is back So here’s my review of Iron Spider Homecoming.. ehm.. I meant to say #SpiderManHomecoming. It’s an incredibly fun teen movie but it’s not perfect. I think Tom Holland is a great Peter Parker, he’s got the character down spot on. No offense to Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield but Tom Holland’s version is like straight out of the pages. But with this reboot, they basically plaster Iron Man’s previous drama on to Spider-Man in addition to the new tech-based suit, so I’m not sure if that’s going to sit well with all the fans. After spending several years approaching various writers, directors and actors and getting nowhere close to a completed film, Sony has decided to go in another new direction for the adaptation of video game series Uncharted . With Shawn Levy already attached to direct, the studio now has Tom Holland aboard to play a young Nathan Drake. The new idea is to frame the story as a prequel to the games' normal timeline of an older Drake, taking its inspiration from a sequence in the third of Naughty Dog's titles that followed the character as a young thief and his first encounter with professional rogue Sullivan. And following attempts by Joe Carnahan, David Guggenheim, David O. Russell and more to craft something, another writer will be brought in to develop the script afresh with Levy. THR is reporting Doug Liman is on board to direct the YA post-apocalyptic thriller. Tom Holland , who is playing Spider-Man in next year’s Spider-Man: Homecoming , is in negotiations to join Daisy Ridley in Lionsgate’s post-apocalyptic thriller Chaos Walking . Doug Liman is directing the project, an adaptation of the best-selling YA novel by Patrick Ness. The story takes place in a world where all women have been killed by a germ and all living creatures can hear one another's thoughts in a stream of images, words and sounds called Noise. Holland would star as a boy forced to flee his town with his loyal dog and who comes upon a strange sight: a girl (Ridley). Oscar-winning screenwriter Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) worked on the script, as did Jamie Linden (Money Monster).
