BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

"Maleficent" Film Getting Closer To Reality

"Maleficent" Film Getting Closer To Reality We reported back in January when this news broke about a big screen movie about "Maleficent" evil fairy from the 1959 animated classic "Sleeping Beauty."  This is exciting news to me for one reason I, named our first daughter after Sleeping Beauty herself, so a different take on the film would be exciting. The film might team up Woovlerton and Tim Burton again, Now that screenwriter Linda Woolverton scored a hit with "Alice In Wonderland."  Woolverton's "Maleficent" movie would tell the classic fairy tale from the point of view of the self-proclaimed "Mistress of All Evil," offering a new take on a classic tale as she did with Lewis Carrol's "Alice." In "Beauty," Maleficent is a tall green-skinned woman with horns who can morph into several forms, including a terrifying black and purple dragon. The character, who has appeared in many Disney boo

Tim Burton To Direct Addams Family 3D Animation Film

Tim Burton To Direct Addams Family 3D Animation Film Tim Burton is going to be jumping on board for the upcoming 3D Addams Family animation film, the film will be based on Charles Addams' original ghoulish cartoon drawings of The Addams Family, the pictures were once a staple of The New Yorker magazine. Other than being inspired by the same source material, the animated feature is unrelated to previous incarnations of Addams’ work, the 60s TV series, the two `90s feature film comedies that Barry Sonnenfeld directed with Raul Julia and Anjelica Huston, or the Broadway musical opening this spring with Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth in the starring roles. Burton's history with animated films run deep, the last animated film he directed was Corpse Bride and is making a feature version of Frankenweenie, the 1984 30-minute short film Burton made about a boy who reanimates his dead dog. That reportedly got him tossed off the Disney lot for making a film too terrifying for a family a

Tim Burton To Direct Lincoln Vampire Slayer Film

Tim Burton To Direct Lincoln Vampire Slayer Film We have learned that directors Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov have found another angle on the Lincoln story: Abe's lifelong mission to kill vampires. They'll produce with Jim Lemley a movie adaptation of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter , the Seth Grahame-Smith novel that Grand Central Publishing released today. Graham-Smith kicks off with the revelation that Lincoln’s mother was killed by a supernatural creature, which fueled his passion to crush vampires and their slave-owning helpers. The novel depicts the 16th U.S. president as an axe-throwing, highly trained vampire killer. The author is making a career of marrying classic tales with a genre bent, and this becomes his second film deal after Lionsgate and Natalie Portman signed on to adapt Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, which infuses a familiar Jane Austen tale with an attack of bloodthirsty zombies. David O. Russell is circling that project as director and Portman is prod

Waking Sleeping Beauty Documentary Getting Limited Release

Waking Sleeping Beauty Documentary Getting Limited Release Waking Sleeping Beauty is a documentary that we have heard incredible news about, and I am excited to finally see it with my own eyes. This is documentary is for the hard core and casual Disney fan out there. The documentary is a behind the scenes look at Disney and what what happened behind close doors from 1984-1994. The guys over at /Films were some of the lucky few that have already seen the documentary and explains that the film follows the stories behind the creation of some of Disney's most beloved films such as Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King and more, and chronicles the growing power struggle between Jeffrey Katzenberg, Michael Eisner and Roy Disney. We learn about how creativity somehow thrived in this environment of corporate chaos. The film is not your typical talking head doc, and is wisely presented almost entirely using archival footage cut from over

Alice In Wonderland Images and Featurette

Alice In Wonderland Images and Featurette Disney Pictures has released some new concept art and pictures for the upcoming Time Burton's Alice In Wonderland. Also I included a short featurette for you to enjoy. Disney has declared every Wednesday until the film comes out "Wonderland Wednesdays." So enjoy. THE KNAVE OF HEARTS (Crispin Glover) is the head of the Red Queen’s Army. Seven feet, six-inches tall, with a scarred face and a heart-shaped patch covering his left eye, Stayne is an arrogant, tricky character who follows the Red Queen’s every order. He’s the only one capable of pacifying her and calming her dramatic mood swings. “I am the martial element for the Red Queen,” says Glover. “The Red Queen has a fair amount of short-tempered reactions to things that people do, and so my character has to be quite diplomatic.” His darker side emerges in the shadows of the castle hallways. THE WHITE RABBIT (voice of Michael Sheen) is always late, always in a hurry, always ru

Paul Reubens Talks Pee Wee Movie And Star Wars

Paul Reubens Talks Pee Wee Movie And Star Wars Paul Reubens is in the mist of a comeback to the stage and big screen. I was never a fan of Pee Wee's Playhouse, the fact that I lived in Japan during the time the show was on air. Could be one of the reasons. I did love his role in Cheech & Chong's Next Movie . Classic. Reubens has been on a roller coaster ride with his career, but who doesn't love a comeback story? After 18 or so years, he's back. The Pee Wee Show is a live stage show now playing at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. It's a stage version of his Playhouse television program and it is absolutely fantastic. It really was a lot of fun. After the show, Paul had a little Q&A and was asked if he was going to make another movie. We all knew he had plans to make a Pee Wee's Playhouse film, but details were sort of scarce. Tonight he went into more detail about the plot of the movie. The movie, we never left the Playhouse. You never saw Puppet Land. I mea

Johnny Depp To Star As A Vampire In Dark Shadows With The Help Of Tim Burton Forget Team Edward and Team Jacob. We've heard that director Tim Burton and star Johnny Depp are making a feature film version of the classic 1960s gothic TV soap opera Dark Shadows , and producer Graham King now confirms that the film will shoot in the fall, with Depp to play broody vampire Barnabas Collins. "We're actually going to shoot that film next September/October with Tim Burton and Johnny," King said in a group interview Friday in Los Angeles, where he was promoting The Young Victoria. Extended Trailer For Alice In Wonderland

Extended Trailer For Alice In Wonderland I got my first look at the clip during Comic Con this year. I was excited to see the clip and all it had to offer. Here is your first look at the Extended Trailer For Alice In Wonderland ,this extended clip is Courtesy of Spike TV. Enjoy the clip and Don't Be Late. An extension on Lewis Carroll's original story, Alice, now 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to by a rich suitor in front of hundreds of snooty society types. What Nicolas Cage's Superman Could Have Been

What Nicolas Cage Superman Could Have Been What could this movie had done for the Superman Franchise, I know one thing it would have kept it alive. Very odd screen shot but none the less it is out there. Ever wonder what Nicolas Cage would have looked like had he played Superman in the late 1990s movie Superman Lives ? That was the scrapped version that would have been directed by Tim Burton from a screenplay by Kevin Smith (and rewritten by Wesley Strick) and produced by Jon Peters. Cage's casting as the last son of Krypton caused as much of a stir amongst fanboys as Michael Keaton's had when he won the title role in Burton's Batman. Filming on Superman Lives was to have begun in 1998 in Pittsburgh, but Warner Bros. ultimately put the project on hold due to its ballooning budget. Both Cage and Burton eventually dropped out of the project, but not after concept art and costume designs were made. And after years in-development and millions spent, Warners would ultimately s
