Naomi Watts has signed on to join the next three films in Lionsgate's Divergent franchise. Naomi Watts   is joining the cast of Divergent sequel Insurgent as Evelyn, leader of the Factionless. Watts' deal calls for to co-star in the futuristic franchise's two final movies, which are based on Veronica Roth's YA novel Allegiant, the final book in the Divergent trilogy. Watts will jump right to Insurgent, which began shooting last week in Atlanta. Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ansel Elgort, Kate Winslet and Miles Teller -- who all appeared in Divergent -- return for the sequel. Watts joins Octavia Spencer as new additions to the cast. After Insurgent wraps in September, Watts will move on to Sea of Trees, which will take her through November. The in-demand actress is mulling a number of films after that. They may not be ready to unleash a trailer on the world just yet – though we doubt it’ll be too long before one arrives – but the team behind The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 are at least prepared to give us a look at Julianne Moore as President Alma Coin in the film, plus a video interview with Moore (see below) and a roundtable chat with director Francis Lawrence , writer Peter Craig and producer Nina Jacobson. Divergent Review By: Matt Cummings The terribly flatlined  Divergent offers nothing new and plenty to dislike.  In an industry dying to find the next big thing, Hollywood has understandably latched on to YA: read by entire demographics who heretofore claimed romantic comedies as their their own, Hollywood correctly recognized its potential.
