BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Melissa Benoist Cast As Supergirl For CBS

Melissa Benoist  is a guest-shot veteran of shows such as Homeland and The Good Wife and appeared in a chunk of musical high school show Glee. She’s currently on cinema screens as Nicole, the young woman that Miles Teller’s Andrew Nieman falls for in Whiplash .   Comic-book heroes – particularly from the DC universe – have rarely been more successful on TV. Word arrived in October that US network CBS (the home of the CSI franchise and other crime procedurals) was looking to get in on the action by commissioning Supergirl . We now know that Melissa Benoist will be playing Kara Zor-El in the show. The plot will follow Kal-El’s cousin, who escaped Krypton as he did and ended up on Earth. Initially unwilling to acknowledge her powers, she starts to come into her own in her mid-twenties and accept her heroic destiny. It’s the brainchild of Greg Berlanti, the man behind two of the bigger superhero shows on TV right now, Arrow and The Flash and Ali Adler, who worked on Chuck and shor

Harrison Wells Is The Reverse Flash

I have been saying this since the show first started and now we know for sure. Harrison Wells ( Tom Cavanagh ) is The Flash‘s Reverse Flash . “He’s the man in the yellow suit. Yes, I am Reverse Flash ,” Cavanagh told reporters during The CW’s “The Heroes and Villains of Arrow and The Flash” panel at the Television Critics Association’s winter TV previews. As viewers saw in the series premiere, the Reverse Flash murdered Barry Allen’s (Grant Gustin) mother at a young age, but Wells has since done everything in his power to both create The Flash and apparently shape him into his nemesis. Why? Viewers may get more insight in the 17th episode, which will feature a look back at the night Barry’s mother was killed. “We’re going to see what happened that night from the Reverse Flash’s point of view,” Kreisberg said. “I didn’t say it was from Wells’ point of view, I said it was from the Reverse Flash’s point of view.” So, does that mean there’s another Reverse Flash out there? Many pe

The Flash Mid-Season Finale Trailer. "The Man in the Yellow Suit"

The Flash " The Man in the Yellow Suit " (Mid-Season Finale) - Barry ( Grant Gustin ) finds himself face-to-face with his nemesis, the man in the yellow suit, a.k.a. Reverse Flash, who killed his mother. Barry is frustrated when the Reverse Flash escapes, but Dr. Wells ( Tom Cavanagh ) and Cisco ( Carlos Valdes ) come up with a plan to trap him. All they need is bait, so they turn to Dr. Tina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays ) from Mercury Labs to help. Meanwhile, it’s Christmas at The West household and Iris ( Candice Patton ) is in full holiday cheer. Eddie ( Rick Cosnett ) gives her a surprising gift but also leaves her with a question that could change her life. Joe ( Jesse L. Martin ) joins the search for the man in yellow and ends up in the crossfire. Caitlin ( Danielle Panabaker ) finds Ronnie ( Robbie Amell ). Ralph Hemecker directed the episode written by Todd Helbing & Aaron Helbing (#109). Please Leave A Comment-

Prison Break Reunion Heading To THE FLASH

A Prison Break reunion is coming to TV — on The Flash, that is. Dominic Purcell has boarded The CW comic-book drama as a DC Comics villain, reuniting with his Prison Break co-star Wentworth Miller in the 10th episode. This marks the first time Purcell and Miller , who played brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield, will have appeared together since Prison Break ended in 2009. Purcell will play Mick Rory , a pyromaniac who finds an outlet for his obsession with fire when he teams up with Leonard Snart/Captain Cold ( Miller ) and becomes the villain known as Heatwave . Miller was cast in The Flash back in July and makes his debut in episode four. Purcell's character will also be heard from in that same episode. In DC Comics lore, Heatwave is a member of the Rogues, led by Captain Cold. Heatwave has been featured in animated form on shows such as Justice League Unlimited and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Other major Prison Break castmembers have been featured i

Robbie Amell Cast As Firestorm

Onetime Tomorrow person Robbie Amell has quickly teleported himself into a hot new role — on The CW’s freshman superhero series The Flash . TVLine has learned that the actor (and real-life cousin of Arrow star Stephen Amell ) has been cast in the recurring role of Ronnie Raymond, the fiance of S.T.A.R. Labs scientist Caitlin Snow (played by Danielle Panabaker ). Oh, and Ronnie is also one-half of the DC Comics character Firestorm – creating a tremendous bit of irony, considering Caitlin’s own (possible) destiny. In his Flash incarnation, S.T.A.R. Labs maintenance worker Ronnie plays an integral part in the particle accelerator accident that transforms Barry Allen ( Grant Gustin ) into the titular speedster. “[DC Comics Chief Creative Officer] Geoff Johns, Andrew Kreisberg and myself designed the pilot and series to include Ronnie (aka Firestorm) — and to actually have someone with Robbie’s talent playing the role is beyond exciting,” EP Greg Berlanti said in a statement. “We c

CW's #TheFlash Extended Trailer

The Flash extended trailer has arrived.  What do you think? The Flash with a rather spectacular and effects-heavy new trailer that clocks in at more than five minutes. After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel. Though initially excited by his newfound powers, Barry is shocked to discover he is not the only "meta-human" who was created in the wake of the accelerator explosion -- and not everyone is using their new powers for good. Barry partners with S.T.A.R. Labs and dedicates his life to protect the innocent. For now, only a few close friends and associates know that Barry is literally the fastest man alive, but it won't be long before the world learns what Barry Allen has become...The Flash. And here's the shorter one, which features A

The Flash Movie To Be Darker And Edgier

The Flash Movie To Be Darker And Edgier Earlier this month scribe Marc Guggenheim who worked on Green Lantern live action movie with fellow screenwriters Greg Berlanti and Michael Green, revealed that they’ve turned in the treatment for The Flash and they already started discussions on Green Lantern 2 . Greg Berlanti, whose new directorial Life As We Know It will hit theaters in a couple of weeks, we have heard that the three of them have started treatment for Green Lantern 2 and started working on the script for The Flash. We are working on the treatment for the second film actually, we just started working on that with the same guys who I did the original with ( Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim ). Those two guys are also writing a script based on a treatment we wrote for ‘The Flash,’ so that’s my involvement with DC right now is the script for ‘The Flash’ and the treatment for ‘GL2.’” “‘GL’ is always a bit lighter than that on earth but mixed with a twinge of the space opera

The Flash To Be Directed By Green Lantern Scribe?

The Flash To Be Directed By Green Lantern Scribe? By Last we heard about a proposed movie based on DC Comics' Flash, writer David Goyer said it was "shrouded in mystery." Well, the mystery has lifted a bit, if we are to believe our athletically inclined pals at IESB.net: They're reporting that Greg Berlanti, co-writer of the upcoming Green Lantern and director of Life as We Know It, is in line to direct: The name should ring a bell or two, Berlanti wrote "Green Lantern" with one my favorites Marc Guggenheim and was once attached to direct the film before WB settled on Martin Campbell. It's unclear whether Flash will be based on Goyer's initial idea or will be written by someone else. And, of course, way to early to know who will put on the red suit, though Ryan Reynolds was once Goyer's choice (he's not involved and will instead play Hal Jordan in Green Lantern). "The Flash" Movie In Trouble?

"The Flash" Movie In Trouble? I would really hope that they get this movie done soon. I am a huge fan of the Comic books and The TV show Flash. I know I was one of the few to watch the TV show , It was pretty cool for its time. But I would really like to see it on the big screen sometime soon. Here is what IGN has got out of the The Dark Knight producer Charles Roven whose attachment to a feature version of The Flash appears to be on the ropes. "I was involved at one point with The Flash," said Roven. "And Warner Bros. came to me and said, 'The work that you've been doing hasn't yet resulted in something that any of us, including the filmmaking team, feel could be greenlit as a movie. We're trying to accomplish something that takes into account the entire, rich DC character world, and we'd like to pull it back. That doesn't mean that you aren't going to be a part of it. We just want to take a different kind of approach. Do you mind
