BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Daisy Ridley In Talks To Play Lara Croft

Daisy Ridley has publicly confirmed for the first that she has been approached to play Lara Croft in a new adaptation of the Tomb Raider series – paving the way for all manner of ‘Tomb Rey-der’ puns. Speaking to Empire’s Chris Hewitt at the Jameson Empire Awards – where she took home a gong, for Best Female Newcomer – the 23-year-old star of Star Wars: The Force Awakens acknowledged that “there have been conversations”. The actress was first linked to the role earlier this month, but had not commented on the reports until now. Choosing her words carefully (“ I was not told how to answer this question! ”), Ridley said she had been having several meetings about the role, “ but meetings don’t mean you’re going to do the film ”. She did, however, recognise the swell of fan support for the casting idea – ”everyone seems to be very excited about the idea” – but clarified that the project was still in its very early stages. “I don’t even think there’s a script yet.” The Tomb Rai

Oscar Isaac's Mojave Trailer

Empire scored the first poster & trailer for Oscar Isaac's Mojave . He is having one hell of a 2015, enjoying scene-stealing roles in the likes of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Ex Machina . 2016 promises to be just as fruitful, with appearances in X-Men: Apocalypse – and now, indie crime thriller Mojave . Set in the Californian desert of the title, it sees Isaac on villainous duties, playing a mysterious drifter named Jack who comes up against depressive artist Thomas, played by Garrett Hedlund . Mark Wahlberg and Walton Goggins also star in the film, which is being directed by William Monahan, best known for his screenwriting work on the likes of The Departed (for which he won an Oscar), Oblivion and The Gambler. Pack some suncream before you head into this particular desert: Mojave hits theaters and On Demand from March 25. Please Leave A Comment-

Would it be R2-D23?”) and continues with candid interviews with the original Star Wars leads—Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford—looking back (and ahead) at the ongoing strength of these out-of-this-world films. Director J.J. Abrams—whose long-standing histor

J.J. Abrams Directing Star Wars: Episode IX?

The Force Awakens director might strike back. By Brandon Wolfe While J.J. Abrams is kicking off the relaunch of the Star Wars franchise with December’s The Force Awakens , he has been conspicuously absent from the announcement for any of the subsequent films announced, be it the regular chapter entries or the spin-offs. Rian Johnson is taking the helm of Episode VIII and was widely speculated to be directing Episode IX as well given that he's also been announced as that film's writer. However, according to Latino Review , the Disney higher-ups are so pleased with what they’ve seen of The Force Awakens that Abrams is now their first choice to direct the ninth episode of the saga. If true, this stands as a major boost of encouragement for what Abrams will deliver later this year. Star Wars: Episode IX is set for release in 2019. Our Most Anticipated Movies Of 2015

Learn which films have us excited for 2015. Story by Matt Cummings Last year at the box office was an odd one to be sure - with most people looking ahead to 2015, 2014 seemed like the bastard step-child that the family knows it has to take in, even though they'd rather not. Still, the year did give us several very good flicks, most of which made it into our 2014 Most Anticipated List . Like every year, big-budget franchise sequels and tentpoles dominated the landscape like Godzilla, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, as well as The LEGO Movie. But now it's time to move into the big one, the year that should demolish every previous box office record, with a collection of films that honestly is the best we've seen in awhile. As always, our list runs the gamut, from risky comic book projects to interesting adaptions, reboots, and conclusions. Your friends at SJF have compiled our top 20 (or so) most anticipated, which means we'

2015 Big Movie Questions

Read on to learn why 2015 could be the most profitable year for Hollywood ever. Story by Matt Cummings With 2014 in the books - and a new slate of films already being released - we're continuing a tradition here at SJF by looking forward to the big movie questions of 2015. And while last year provided us with entertaining answers to the questions we posed back in January, 2015 looks to not only have just as many, but could be the most profitable year ever. Without any fanfare whatsoever, we now present the Big Movie Questions of 2015. Who will make more money: Avengers or Star Wars? It's a foregone conclusion that 2015 will be one of the biggest years for the box office ever. With interesting titles throughout the year, it's clear that Hollywood has saved its collective mojo for one big push. But there's always a top dog, someone who makes the most money after a fierce competition. Think 2012's Avengers vs. The Dark Knight Rises . This year, it&#
