Hulu is trying its hand at Less Than Zero . The streamer is developing a drama based on author Bret Easton Ellis' 1985 novel and subsequent 1987 feature film. The reboot, which is in development, follows a college freshman who returns home for Christmas to spend time with his ex-girlfriend and his friend who struggles with addiction. The Hulu take will explore the culture of wealthy, decadent youth in Los Angeles. Andrew McCarthy starred in the '87 feature film opposite Robert Downey Jr., Jami Gertz and James Spader , with Harley Peyton adapting Ellis' book; 20th Century Fox owns rights to the franchise and distributed the feature. While we were originally supposed to get Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War on May 4, the usual week after Britain and some other countries, the studio has now decided to bring the global release forward to 27 April. Staged as a Twitter chat between the company and one of the film's stars ( Robert Downey Jr. ), the exchanged served as confirmation that the film will be on the move. Still, the move makes sense for Marvel and corporate bosses Disney, because it means there is more time for Infinity War to grab audience eyes and ticket sales before another Mouse House division, Lucasfilm, releases Solo: A Star Wars Story , due to arrive on 25 May. Infinity War, of course, finds Thanos ( Josh Brolin ) deciding to finally obtain the Infinity Stones for himself, putting him up against the assembled might of the Avengers, the Guardians Of The Galaxy, the Black Panther and a variety of heroes. Iron Spider: Homecoming Rama is back So here’s my review of Iron Spider Homecoming.. ehm.. I meant to say #SpiderManHomecoming. It’s an incredibly fun teen movie but it’s not perfect. I think Tom Holland is a great Peter Parker, he’s got the character down spot on. No offense to Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield but Tom Holland’s version is like straight out of the pages. THR is reporting Robert Downey Jr. will star in The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle , based on the character from the 1920s series of children’s books by Hugh Lofting. Stephen Gaghan (Syriana, Gold) will direct the film based on a script he wrote, with an earlier draft by Tom Shepherd. In a competitive situation, Universal won the rights to the hot package after it hit the town and garnered multiple bids from studios last week.
