New Green Lantern Poster From Warner Bros. Lot

New Green Lantern Poster From Warner Bros. Lot Bleeding Cool got their hands on these two photos of Green Lantern movie posters spotted at Warner Bros. lot. More like an art version of Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan rather than a an actual shot of Reynolds. At least this is a taste to what we should expect during Comic-Con this year. Image of Reynolds after the jump.. Peter Sarsgaard As Dr. Hector Hammond In Green Lantern

Peter Sarsgaard As Dr. Hector Hammond  In Green Lantern We have our first photo of Peter Sarsgaard wearing the makeup for Dr. Hector Hammond on the New Orleans set of Warner Bros. Pictures' Green Lantern . Hammond is a petty criminal on the run from the law when he discovers the fragments of a strange meteor in the woods (later retconned as part of the same meteor that lands in Africa, super-evolving Gorilla Grodd and the other gorillas of Gorilla City). Observing that radiation from the meteor has caused the nearby plants to evolve rapidly, Hammond decides to kidnap four scientists and expose them to the meteor. The radiation causes their intellects to evolve, but also has the side effect of sapping their wills. Hammond is able to force the scientists to use their heightened intellect to create amazing new inventions, which Hammond sells for his own profit. Hammond rapidly becomes a rich celebrity due to the wealth he has acquired. Green Lantern Hal Jordan asks his friend

Ryan Reynold's Green Lantern Suit To Be All CG No Spandex Ladies

Ryan Reynold's Green Lantern Suit To Be All CG No Spandex Ladies /Films found out some interesting news about the upcoming Ryan Reynold's Green Lantern film. Peter claims he has word from three independent sources that Ryan Reynolds' suit in the upcoming Green Lantern film will be completely computer generated. The suit is apparently "a grey tracking motion/performance capture suit with LED lights," perhaps not too far from what Garrett Hedlund and Co. are wearing in Tron Legacy. This came as a bit of surprise, but after a little more consideration about the project, the idea actually makes a lot of sense. In the film, the suit is worn by all races who wear the green rings, and Hal Jordan is the first human to wear the suit. Providing an other-worldly look to the suit should help it stand out from what has become the standard spandex model (see: Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, etc.) in superhero films today. Peter also reminds us that Ngila Dickson, the costum

Mark Strong Talks Sinestro In The Green Lantern

Mark Strong Talks Sinestro In The Green Lantern Mark Strong has been on fire as a go to villain for every film. From Sherlock Holmes to the upcoming film Kick-Ass. There are a huge group of fans that are excited to finally see Green Lantern coming to the big screen and you can put my name on that list.  Mark spoke to USA Weekend about his role in the upcoming film.  Not a hole lot was said but if you are a fan of Green Lantern then you pretty much know what kind of villain he is. What Strong could tell us: For anybody who’s familiar with the Green Lantern and the origin story, the film closely follows the early comics. Sinestro starts out as Hal Jordan’s mentor, slightly suspicious and not sure of him because obviously Hal is the first human being who’s made into a Green Lantern. He’s certainly very strict and certainly unsure of the wisdom of Hal becoming a Green Lantern. He is a military guy but isn’t immediately bad. It’s the kind of person he is that lends himself to becomi

Tim Robbins Joins Green Lantern Cast

Tim Robbins Joins Green Lantern Cast Tim Robbins has joined the cast of Green Lantern in the role of Senator Hammond, whose disapproving parental style is one of the reasons that Dr Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard ) ends up turning evil. The other reason, of course, is that Hammond Jr becomes infused with psychic powers from a strange meteorite and goes insane. As you do. Martin Campbell has recruited Robbins to the cast to star alongside Ryan Reynolds (as our hero) and Blake Lively (as his love interest, Carol Ferris). They’ll be reporting to the set in March to start shooting and Robbins also be no doubt hoping that this comic book film appearance wipes his early dabble with the genre off his CV, in the infamous Howard The Duck. Green Lantern Concept Art Work For The Film

Green Lantern Concept Art Work For The Film Some concept art form the upcoming Warner Bros. Film Green Lantern has made it's way onto the web. Cosmicbooknews bring us these pictures and apparently the pictures have been verified by a source The pictures can be from the first stage of drawing with some many concept pictures being done daily who knows who is in and out. Director Martin Campbell said this, "Well, Kilowog will be [in it]. Tomar-Re is in it. Sinestro is in it. Abin Sur is in it. All the origin people. Carol [Ferris], of course, who will be played by Blake Lively. All the main characters are there, and it's a complex story. The origin story of Green Lantern is complex, probably one of the most complex, which makes it a challenge to get it right." Now, based on a script we found a couple years back at a comic book message board, Carol Ferris and Sinestro will not be the full fledged villains, but the characters will be set up as the villains for a second

Sinestro To Appear In Green Lantern Film?

Sinestro To Appear In Green Lantern Film? Everyone's up in arms about "Spider-Man" this week, and I can understand why. It's huge news. But it's certainly not the only superhero film that's gearing up to shoot, and "Green Lantern" is actually closer to a start date, with major casting news breaking in the last week. Obviously, Ryan Reynolds was tapped last year after a very close horse race to play Hal Jordan, whose attempt to help a dying alien at a crash site ends up turning him into an intergalactic superhero. Then last week, there was an announcement about Blake Lively, who signed on to play Carol Ferris, and then Peter Saarsgard signed on to play Hector Hammond, a dangerous telepath whose contact with an alien force turns him into a major threat against the security of Earth. I've been making some calls yesterday and today, and what I'm hearing actually confirms some earlier rumors online from October of 2009, when Harry Knowles first

Green Lantern Has Found It's Villain

Green Lantern Has Found It's Villain Peter Sarsgaard is in negotiations to play the villain in "Green Lantern," Warner Bros.' big-budget, Martin Campbell-directed tentpole based on the DC Comics superhero. Ryan Reynolds is starring as Hal Jordan, the test pilot who finds a downed spacecraft with a dying alien who passes him a powerful ring, introducing Jordan to an interstellar police force known as the Green Lanterns. Sarsgaard will play Dr. Hector Hammond , the pathologist son of a senator who is seen as a disappointment in his father's eyes. He becomes infused with psychic powers when he discovers a meteor. The character was created by John Broome and Gil Kane in the early 1960s. Blake Lively has already been cast as Reynolds' love interest, Carol Ferris. The movie is prepping for a March start in New Orleans. Donald De Line and Greg Berlanti are producing. Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR
