Today we got our hands on the new trailer for Battleship . It has a Transformers meets the oceans feel to it. Not bad but I'm not sold. HBO Sports has picked up the Peter Berg -produced docuseries about famed boxing trainer Freddie Roach .The premium cable net has ordered six episodes of On Freddie Roach , with an eye toward an early 2012 bow. Berg (Friday Night Lights) will direct and produce the series along with Jim Lampley, Sarah Aubrey and Michael Price. Peter Berg Talks Battleship Movie Berg recently invited a group of movie bloggers to a Naval ship in San Diego, the U.S.S. Sterett to give them a tour and talk about what exactly he has planned for the film. If you have never been on one of these ships you should definitely go when you have the chance! You might as well hit one up in San Diego when you are there for Comic-Con if you haven’t already, these ships are freakin incredible! Peter talks a bit about using the bridge, and other parts of the ship, as sets for the movie. He also talked about what would happen if all of this technology suddenly became unavailable to the officers during battle with the aliens. Or with the Chinese. Whichever happens first. Peter Berg, director of the superhero movie Hancock , has some ideas for a sequel if one ever comes to pass, and he shared his ideas with SCI FI Wire. (Spoilers ahead!) At the end of last year's Hancock, it was revealed that Will Smith's superpowered character was actually an immortal god who became vulnerable only when in the presence of his goddess companion (Charlize Theron).
