Netflix’s Orange is the New Black to Return for 4th Season in 2016. Story by @Erika Ashley Just 2 short months before Netflix’s season 3 release of their hit original series Orange is the New Black, they have announced the confirmation of OINTB Season 4 to return in 2016. The new series which has caught like wildfire has raised a wide range of popularity. Seasons 1 and 2 have been consistently released with only a few months’ hiatus between each which keeps the series fresh. Although like many other series casting fluctuations have hit the show by losing a few key components, such as Jason Biggs departure at the end of season 2, overall the main characters have remained intact. Rumor of new characters joining the story and the twist brought in a recently released teaser clip for season 3 has the Twitter-verse screaming for more. OINTB season 3 will premiere on June 12th so stay tuned.

Netflix  has just contracted with The Weinstein Company ’s Harvey Weinstein to release its first major feature film,  Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend . Sort of a sequel to the Ang Lee-directed 2000 martial arts epic that won the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar, the film will premiere exclusively on Netflix, and it will simultaneously have a berth in IMAX theaters. The release is August 28, 2015. While Hollywood studios and exhibitors endlessly spar over shortening the window between theatrical and home viewing on feature films, you just knew that someone was going to take a bona fide movie, bypass theaters and go right to home viewing. For all of those who were confused by Orange Is the New Black 's Emmy categorization as a comedy, a cleverly-cut clip of the series' most memorable moments gives a preview of what the Netflix show would've been like if it fit more clearly into the TV show genre. Like, for example, an '80s sitcom like Golden Girls. Over the weekend, YouTube user Robert Jones posted a video mashup of the Jenji Kohan series, set to the Golden Girls theme song, "Thank You for Being a Friend" by Andrew Gold. The opening sequence, entitled "Golden Is the New Black," replaces Regina Spektor's "You've Got Time" and the show's shifting shots of the Litchfield inmates ... with tampon sandwiches, security checks and "Crazy Eyes" delights.
