First Trailer for Jurassic World

Check out the first full trailer re-welcoming a long-lost franchise. One of the mainstays of movie time in the 1990's Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park introduced audiences to the world of dinosaurs run amok. It was also one of the first computer-generated films to feature animals completely made in the digital realm. When it was re-released in 2013 in 3D, it was like the series never left (read our review here). When it premiered in 1993 to strong praise and box office success, the door seemed open to an every-three years slew of dinosaur fright. In subsequent years, the franchise saw two sequels that were financially successful but failed to match the excitement generated by the original. Unfortunately, the franchise has been in neutral with a fourth Jurassic Park movie stuck in development Hell, including a version that was to feature dinosaur-human hybrids (really?), Director Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) has finally returned with Jurassic World. New Images From #JurassicWorld

So many big films, it seems, feel incomplete without unleashing some sort of viral campaign on the world. Jurassic World , which carries with it a hefty chunk of history and plenty of detail to exploit, is no exception. Which might explain why some new images from the film are now online thanks to a new corporate website. See all the images after the Jump... The site purports to be that of Masrani , a telecommunications company launched by Sanjay Masrani in 1973 and since inherited/expanded by his son, Simon (Irrfan Khan in the film). In addition to exploring the oil market, he also snapped up International Genetic Technologies (whose shortened name, InGen, should be familiar to any Jurassic stalwarts) following the death of John Hammond. And so the real reason for the rebirth of Jurassic Park in its new expanded form takes shape – Masrani decided to open a fully functioning version of the park as a resort destination, one that is seeing its visitor figures decline and trie

The Park Is Open. #JurassicWorld Official Poster

So far, Universal has largely left it to director Colin Trevorrow to keep the hype machine churning for Jurassic World by premiering teaser imagery on his Twitter feed. He’s back with a new official poster, one designed to fire straight at the nostalgia centre of your brain with a simple display of the logo. The tagline, “ The Park is open ” ties in nicely with the plot of this new film. Set years after Steven Spielberg’s original, the attraction is now up and running. While it has been hugely successful, the place and its dino inhabitants have actually become a little less than thrilling for today’s blasé audiences. Naturally, the island's bosses decide to come up with something exciting and new. Which goes badly for everyone, with the running and screaming... Expect a lot of new dino-action this time around, a healthy set of nods to the past and plenty of practical effects work in among the flashier digital tricks. With Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins, Nick
