Holly Wiersma and Candice Abela are producing the feature, which is currently shooting in New Orleans. Written by Patricia Beauchamp and Joe Gossett, the script centers on a meticulous small-town nurse (Pike) who falls victim to a life-altering event after she goes on a blind date with a man (Fernandez) who turns out not to be who he says he is. She must find the strength and courage to rebuild her life and return to her former self. (Nolte plays Pike’s father.) Lagniappe Films is financing, with Boo Pictures also involved. J.C. A new Gangster Squad poster has hit the web, serving as definitive proof that the Untouchables-like tale of off-the-books law enforcers in in 1940s and 1950s L.A. will be arriving in cinemas on January 11, 2013. For those not in the know, Gangster Squad was originally set for a September 7 release date this year, but in the wake of the 2012 Aurora shooting at the midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises , Warner Bros. and the Gangster Squad team decided to reshoot certain cinema-set scenes. Jennifer Garner Has Her Eye Out For "Arthur Remake" Jennifer Garner and Nick Nolte are in talks to join the cast of " Arthur ," Warner Bros.' remake of the 1981 comedy. Russell Brand and Helen Mirren are starring in the pic, which Jason Winer is directing. Closely hewing to the original, the new "Arthur" follows a very rich, happy drunk who is told by his mother that he must marry the wealthy girl of her choosing or else lose his inheritance, just as he meets a poor girl (Greta Gerwig) and falls in love.
