Daredevil’s second season brings back Charlie Cox’s blind lawyer-turned-vigilante superhero Matt Murdock, Deborah Ann Woll as legal secretary Karen Page , Elden Henson as law partner Foggy Nelson, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple and Vincent D’Onofrio as crime kingpin Wilson Fisk. Survey: Netflix Users Cut Their Pay TV Services

What does the newest survey say, and should Pay Television be worried? Story by Matt Cummings If the proof really is in the pudding, than the stuff that Netflix is serving its customers must be very satisfying. According to a recent survey , 92% of Netflix users expressed satisfaction with the streaming and DVD services, with 93% stating that they intend to have the service one year from now. The survey also revealed less-than-rosy consumer feelings about Pay Television: although 67% answered that they have PT, approximately 9% said they plan on ending their service. Moreover, 16% expressed doubt that they would still have their PT by this time next year. The survey compiled results from 829 Netflix subscribers and was conducted June 1-14 by the website www.cutcabletoday.com. Among other facts in their announcement: 1. Approximately 77% of respondents said they have their Internet, PT, and telephone "bundled" to save on cost. 2. Netflix users apparent

Season 2 Could Be DAREDEVIL VS. THE PUNISHER

Nerdist  is reporting that co-showrunner, Marco Ramirez referred to season 2 as DAREDEVIL VS. THE PUNISHER . They even suggested you to read Marvel Comics’ limited series, “ Daredevil vs. Punisher: Means & Ends ” So is Punisher the big bad villain in this new season because he kills and Daredevil had vowed not to? Perhaps. But now that Kingpin is away in prison, that leads to the city’s other villains to rise and wreak havoc, filling the void and Punisher might be motivated to just end all of them. I guess philosophical clash, much like Batman V Superman, would be the thing that gets Daredevil and Punisher at odds. But what about Elektra and Bullseye? They’re not confirmed yet for this season 2 but it’d be interesting to see how it all plays out when those two enter the picture. Please Leave A Comment-

Jon Bernthal Cast as The Punisher in Daredevil Season 2

Walking Dead alum to play gun-toting Marvel antihero. By Brandon Wolfe It has been revealed that not only will The Punisher be making his MCU debut in Season 2 of Netflix’s Daredevil , but that Jon Bernthal ( The Walking Dead ’s Shane) will follow in the footsteps of Dolph Lundgren, Thomas Jane and Ray Stevenson as skull-shirted vigilante Frank Castle. No word yet on if this incarnation of the Punisher will be hero, villain or antihero. The smart money is that he will be the darker mirror image of Matt Murdock’s more morally upstanding crusader, and that the two will oppose each other. Daredevil ’s second season will premiere on Netflix in 2016. Discuss this story with fellow SJF fans on Facebook . Jason Statham Pursued for Bullseye in Daredevil

Will the action star be transported to Netflix? By Brandon Wolfe Marvel is setting its casting sights high for the second season of Netflix’s Daredevil as rumors have popped up that Jason Statham is being pursued to play the villain Bullseye. Latino Review has reported that Statham has met with Marvel about the role, but that nothing has yet been confirmed. Though Marvel attracted some solid talent for Daredevil ’s first season, like Vincent D’Onofrio and Rosario Dawson, Statham is a genuine box-office star, and with his recent turns in both Furious 7 and Spy , possibly at a peak level of popularity right now. It seems as though if he were to take a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it would be something on the big screen rather than Netflix. In addition, in an interview released just this morning, Statham had the following to say about Marvel roles that would seem to indicate his lack of interest in any such project: "A lot of the modern sort of action movies I

‘Fuller House’ Will Not Be Quite So Full

Olsen Twins Say No to New Series By David Clark Talks to bring back original actors from the Full House cast to reprise their roles in Netflix’s new original continuation of the series, titled Fuller House, have not gone as hoped. The original show followed Jesse (John Stamos), Joey (Dave Coulier), D.J. Tanner (Candace Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), Michelle (Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen), Danny (Bob Saget), Kimmy (Andrea Barber), and a few other ancillary family and friends. John Stamos, producer of Fuller House, confirmed that he along with Candace Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Dave Coulier, Bob Saget, and Andrea Barber will be reprising their respective roles in the new Netflix series. Fans of the original series will notice a fan favorite name is not on the list. Michelle Tanner, the youngest daughter in the Tanner family, was one of the staple stars of the show. Much of the show revolved around Michelle as she grew up on Full House. The unique thing about the char

HBO Is Setting Records...

...Though, Not The Kind They Want By David Clark HBO has set back-to-back records with the latest Game of Thrones episodes. As one of the most popular shows on television it is no surprise to hear records are falling, unfortunately these particular records are quite concerning. Two weeks in a row HBO’s hit show managed to break piracy records. Over the course of 24 hours from the original air date episode five saw 3.22 million copies of the show pirated and episode six broke that record one week later with a reported 3.5 million acts of piracy. The numbers are astounding. HBO has always taken a somewhat quiet stance on piracy but these numbers are likely hitting someone’s radar. It should be noted the numbers are tracked and reported by Excipio and it does not include streamed piracy. The 3.22 and 3.5 million acts of piracy listed only pertain to actual downloads of the episodes. The numbers would be considerably higher if streamed piracy were to be included. A

Netflix Ratings for Original Series Revealed

One of the great mysteries of modern television is finally solved...sort of. Story by Matt Cummings It's true that Netflix has become not only an important player in the changing viewing habits of Americans but also a household name with incredible financial value. But the streaming company has always been a mystery in regards to the real numbers it draws, especially in the realm of its Original Series releases. To say Netflix has been less than forthright with that data is an understatement, becoming one of the closest-held secrets in modern television. But, a recent survey by San Diego-based Luth Research has shed a least a little light on this, assembling a wide swath of US Netflix subscribers to determine the most popular programs on the service. Luth looked at viewing across a wide variety of devices, but not televisions or gaming consoles. As reported exclusively by Variety, the survey reveals much about what people are watching, as well as who might be cha

Survey: Consumers Now Prefer Streaming vs Live TV

What do the survey's results mean for the future of television? Story by Matt Cummings Ours is a world driven by technology. From smart devices to web apps, technology has affected the way we live every minute of our lives. And according to a new survey, it's affecting the way people consume entertainment. According to The Deloitte Digital Democracy Survey , US consumers are now more willing to watch streaming entertainment than tune in to it via live TV. The ninth annual results were published by the consulting firm Deloitte, who sampled 2,076 US consumers from Nov. 3-19, 2014. Here is just some of the landmark data: Services such as Netflix, who now have subscribers in approximately 42% of American households, have overtaken live television as the most preferred way to watch programming. More people now stream movies (56%) and television (53%), eclipsing those who still prefer to watch live television (45%). Consumers 14-25 - dubbed the "Trailing Mil
