Lionsgate is taking legal action against the anonymous individuals who shared online an advance copy of The Expendables 3 , starring Sylvester Stallone . The film company filed a lawsuit in California federal court against "John Does 1-10." Lionsgate reports learning on July 24 that a digital file containing a high-quality reproduction of the film had been stolen and uploaded to the Internet. The Expendables 3 has reportedly crossed more than a million downloads already. All of the copies circulating online are said in the lawsuit to be traced to the original stolen digital file. The lawsuit targets the operators behind limetorrents.com, billionuploads.com, hulfile.eu, played.to, swantshare.com and dotsemper.com and uses language that's similar to past mass "Doe" complaints against torrent users. According to the lawsuit, "By downloading one of these 'torrent' files associated with the Stolen Film from , users join a 'swarm' where

Liam Neeson might be the leading light in older bloke action films right now, but Mel Gibson made a career out of running around with guns long before he crossed the age of 58. He’s clearly looking to break off a piece of the Taken pie with a new thriller called Blood Father . Mesrine director Jean-Francois Richet is overseeing this one, which features a script by Peter Craig, who co-wrote The Town. Blood Father would see Gibson as an ex-con who must rebuild bridges with his wayward 16-year-old daughter when drug dealers mark her for death. And, we assume, he’ll have to wade in guns blazing. Gibson could certainly use a boost as he attempts to reignite a career that has become stalled in controversy and sub-par output. Get The Gringo didn’t do him many favours, and while he was a loopy villain in Machete Kills, the sequel hardly made a blip. Neither of these casting choices are shocks – Mel Gibson was reportedly in talks in June and Antonio Banderas’s named was dropped on Twitter by Expendables boss Sylvester Stallone – but official confirmation has come that both will join The Expendables 3 . The news comes on the heels of 'Willisgate', with Bruce no longer part of the third Expendables cast and Harrison Ford hired in his place. Gibson seems to be relishing the chance to play bad guys at the moment, with a showy villain role in Machete Kills and now this. Perhaps he’s trying to spin his decidedly murky reputation in Hollywood and make a comeback by playing up his dark side. We’re not sure that’ll work, but who knows? Whether Banderas will be on the side of good – represented by Stallone’s Barney Ross and the rest of the MVP OAP AWOL types, blended with some of their younger regulars and some new faces – or evil remains to be seen.
