Five new TV spots for Terminator: Genisys from Japan feature some new footage not seen before. Terminator: Genisys is directed by Alan Taylor ("Game of Thrones," Thor: The Dark World) and written by Laeta Kalogridis (Avatar, Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry). Ryan Gosling 's directorial debut Lost River will hit theaters after all. Lost River , which Gosling also wrote, centers on a single mother ( Hendricks ) who enters a dream-like world while her son struggles to make ends meet and survive. The film was met with mixed reactions at Cannes. THR's film critic Todd McCarthy wrote: "As beautifully presented as the imagery is, however, none of it registers deeply because it all seems like borrowed goods. It’s flashy enough to engage the eye, but the experience is akin to flipping through a gorgeous art photography book featuring an assortment of artists rather than one." Until recently, the adaptation of Seth Graeme-Smith ’s Jane Austen-meets-horror genre-mash book Pride And Prejudice And Zombies spent its time lurking in development limbo. But thanks to finally locking in a script and a director ( Burr Steers ) and a rash of casting, it’s in production and Entertainment Weekly has grabbed a first look image. New images from TERMINATOR GENISYS and to be honest I am not impressed with the images at all. But I still have hope for the film. See all the images after the Jump... The filmmakers plan to re-create the memorable scene in the original ­Terminator when the T-800 lands at L.A.’s Griffith ­Observatory, complete with Schwarzenegger’s 36-year-old face and ripped, naked body. To achieve that, the special-effects team has created a “synthespian,” or synthetic thespian, using a body double plus scans of Schwarz­enegger’s face from the first film merged with what his face looks like now. The result: an entirely CG head of the Terminator circa 1984. They got him talking about the potential rating for the film, and it appears we’re headed for another toned-down Terminator. " I would love to see it be rated R, but I don't think it will. I think in this day & age, it's much more likely to be PG-13 . There were no f-bombs. But there'll be a healthy amount of movie violence." For months now we have been calling the in-production new Terminator film 'Genesis' . Well, it turns out that we were all a little wrong. It will in fact be called ' Genisys ', as confirmed by an Instagram from Arnold Schwarzenegger 's personal account . We can only hope and assume that this title has some sort of meaning beyond being a funky spelling of an actual word. Perhaps there's a reference, in that "sys" suffix, to Cyberdyne Systems. Does the "gen" refer to generations? Or genes? After all, some people must have been used as the models for the Terminators in the first place, so maybe it's about their genes. We're hoping, in any case, that it's more than simply an attempt to be down with the cool kids by showing a flagrant disregard for the normal rules of English spelling.
