BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Red Dawn To Battle North Koreans

China has become such an important market for U.S. entertainment companies that one studio has taken the extraordinary step of digitally altering a film to excise bad guys from the Communist nation lest the leadership in Beijing be offended. When MGM decided a few years ago to remake " Red Dawn ," a 1984 Cold War drama about a bunch of American farm kids repelling a Soviet invasion, the studio needed new villains, since the U.S.S.R. had collapsed in 1991. The producers substituted Chinese aggressors for the Soviets and filmed the movie in Michigan in 2009. But potential distributors are nervous about becoming associated with the finished film, concerned that doing so would harm their ability to do business with the rising Asian superpower, one of the fastest-growing and potentially most lucrative markets for American movies, not to mention other U.S. products. As a result, the filmmakers now are digitally erasing Chinese flags and military symbols from " Red Dawn

Dame Judi also advised Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush, Oscar-nominated for their roles in The King's Speech, that the best way to get through the six-hour ceremony was to "keep nudging people". After severe delays amid uncertainty over film studio MGM's future, the 23rd Bond film, directed by Sam Mendes, is set to be released in November 2012. Please Leave A Comment- Source- BBC

BOND 23 Set For 11/9/2012

Bond Is Back MGM is announcing that " BOND 23 " is set to go into production in late 2011 and today announced that the 23rd James Bond film will have a worldwide release on November 9, 2012 .  Daniel Craig will be returning as the legendary British secret agent, with Sam Mendes directing a screenplay written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan. That script is being kept under wraps but the story begins after Quantum Of Solace leaves off. The reason for the 007 delay is this: Broccoli and Wilson had been in pre-production on Bond #23 for release in 2011 but then it took almost a year for MGM's future to sort itself out what with the failed auction sale of the studio, then the pre-packaged bankruptcy getting approval, and eventually Spyglass taking over studio filmmaking. Meanwhile star Daniel Craig filled in the time with various film commitments which he had to finish. The actor began work on the Hollywood remake of the Swedish original The Girl With The Drag

Red Dawn Remake May See The Light In 2011

Wolverines! With MGM’s restructuring plan complete after a $500 million line of credit from JPMorgan, there has been much news made about the studio’s move to get both The Hobbit and James Bond 23 into production quickly. What about the films MGM shelved during its bankruptcy? Movies like Red Dawn, The Cabin in the Woods and others. Not much has been said about those languishing projects, but word is spreading that MGM may put the Red Dawn remake out this year. The film was directed by Dan Bradley, who tried to have the studio sell the project to Fox so they could release it last year, but that never happened. The completed film has been sitting on a shelf unseen ever since. The story revolves around a ragtag team of high school students who fight to save their town against a Chinese invasion. The film is now gearing up for a potential 2011 release date, and it will now be going head-to-head with the similarly themed Tomorrow, When the War Began . Already a hit in Australia and

James Bond 23 Due In 2012

James Bond 23 Due In Theaters In 2012 MGM has big plans for 007 now that the studio is back on its feet. In a report stemming from yesterday's news that MGM had filed for bankruptcy, rejecting Lionsgate's bid for a takeover, Bloomberg confirms that MGM is fully commited to shooting James Bond 23 in the next two years, and that it will be ready for release in November of 2012. The studio will retain fifty percent of the rights to the Bond franchise, with MGM set to release a new 007 adventure every other year starting with James Bond 23's release in 2012 . An equal partner will pay all of the production costs on the first few movies released, and then the later Bond sequels will be wholly owned and funded by MGM itself. There is no word on whether or not Daniel Craig will reprise his role as 007 in James Bond 23. At this time, the actor is committed to filming all three installments of the Millennium Trilogy, starting with the currently in production The Girl w

History Of The Hobbit

History Of The Hobbit And The Headache Of Trying To Get It Made Although the film version of The Lord of the Rings was a massive worldwide success, getting J.R.R. Tolkien's prequel, The Hobbit , to the screen has proven much more difficult. With the rights finally sorted out after being tied up for years and a studio feud with Rings director Peter Jackson resolved, the project finally began moving forward in 2008—only to be stalled this year by the looming collapse of MGM, one of the two companies financing the production, should it fail to find a way out of its $4 billion debt. Click the image to view it larger As the world waits to see whether The Hobbit actually gets made into a movie, we thought it would be helpful to put together a timeline of the book's long and complicated march to the screen ... a march that is still in progress and moving one painful inch at a time. Guillermo del Toro Has Left The Hobbit

Guillermo del Toro Has Left The Hobbit I've got some pretty terrible news for all of you. I hate to be the barer of bad news, but Guillermo del Toro is no longer going to direct The Hobbit . Last week Del Toro gave an update on what was currently going on with The Hobbit, and I knew if something didn't actually start happening quick the production would start falling apart, and now Del Toro has dropped out of the project. This is all due to MGM's financial problems. They can't seem to get it together, and Del Toro just couldn't wait around anymore. After all... he's got a ton of other film projects that he wants to start working on. Del Toro announced the news himself through the Lord of the Rings fan site The One Ring . So, Del Toro will not direct The Hobbit, but he will continue to collaborate with Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens on the films scripts, until they are completely done. Who will step in to take del Toro's place as dire

Rachel Weisz To Be Next Bond Villain?

Rachel Weisz To Be Next Bond Villain? Could this be true, we can only hope that the sexy and talented Rachel Weisz could end up playing the villain in the upcoming James Bond film?  They in fact have been thinking Weisz could play the head of Quantum, the secret organization responsible for all the bad guy activity in the last two films. More than just another Bond babe, she’d be the mastermind pulling the strings behind everything that’s happened in Daniel Craig’s Bond movies so far, and the architect of James Bond’s suffering. Now remember that this is just a rumor and has not been confirmed but the site we got this information from let us know that the information comes"a reliable, proven source who’s broken numerous, since confirmed stories." So take it at what it is a Rumor. But a good one if it does comes true. Please Leave A Comment- Source- cinemablend

New Hot Tub Time Machine Clip

New Hot Tub Time Machine Clip The clip shows all the guys trying to figure out what just happened and how does the time machine work. By the way the white powder around Craig Robinson is not flour.  In the clip Robinson talks about the time machine and the comparison to Terminator the film and what could have happen if they didn't send Michael Bean back in time. The film just looks like a good old retro 80's film with great comedy and an awesome soundtrack. There is some serious buzz about this movie and it is all good. I can not wait until Friday to go check out this film. Please Leave A Comment- Source- cinematical
