Sigourney Weaver is in negotiations to join the cast of The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes , Constantin's sequel to its upcoming supernatural fantasy, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones . Much of the cast of the first installment, which opens Aug. 21 and includes Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kevin Zegers, Robert Sheehan, Jemima West and Jonathan Rhys Meyers , is returning -- as is director Harald Zwart. The project continues the story of a girl ( Collins ) who discovers she is a demon-slaying Shadowhunter and enters a world filled with warring vampires, werewolves and faeries, while also falling for another Shadowhunter ( Bower ). In one of the few new roles, the veteran actress will play the ruthless leader of the Shadowhunters who will stop at nothing to destroy the man who killed her son. MIRROR MIRROR MOVIE REVIEW BY: RAMA Did RAMA fall in love with the fairy tale again? MIRROR MIRROR is.. think if Snow White Tale was a sitcom. Families are going to have much fun watching this. I had low expectation coming in, but I was impressed with some of the spectacle that director Tarsem Singh came up with and the new spin Lily Collins is luminous as Snow White. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her. Sure the film’s got lavish costumes and majestic scenery but there’s something visually arresting about Collins. If they ever made a biopic on Audrey Hepburn, Collins should be the star. The dwarfs are hilarious. Fantastic group of people. The weakest link is Armie Hammer as the prince, his bumbling, comical performance just doesn’t cut it.
