The former " 24 " star closes a deal to star in and executive produce the Fox drama pilot " Touch ," from " Heroes " creator Tim Kring . Kiefer Sutherland , who starred for eight seasons on Fox's 24, is officially reuniting with the network. He has closed a deal to star in and executive produce the Fox drama pilot Touch, from Heroes creator Tim Kring. Touch centers on a father (Sutherland) who discovers that his autistic, mute son can predict events before they happen. Because of Sutherland's duties on Broadway where he currently stars in a revival of the Jason Miller's That Championship Season, Touch is expected start production in late May-early June after Sutherland fulfills his commitment to the play, now in previews. 24 Has Officially Ended It's Day I think we all saw this one coming eventually, you have heard the news that the show might be getting shut down by Fox because of how expensive it is to produce, Fox has shopped the show to other networks and not much has come of it. NBC took a bite at it but it look like nothing has come from it. The shows director/producer Jon Cassar let the world know on his Twitter account that the show was going to get canceled. News from the 24 set, the crew has been told that 24 has come to an end. There will b no season 9. It’s been a great run, thanx all 4 watching We all had fun with the show, been a great 8 years of drama and action, so let's hope another network picks it up to continue the run, and if not let's end it with a Bang. 24 Movie Getting Closer To Reality Looks like Jack Bauer might be making his way to the big screen soon. Fox hasn't decide to pick the show up for the 9th season yet, but there is talks that Billy Ray ( Man behind State of Play) Maybe writing a script. Looks like it is all going to depend on how the ratings for the show are this year to whether they make the movie.
