And Today they have unleashed a new poster for the upcoming film that pays homage to the original poster. Tron: Legacy is an upcoming American-Canadian science fiction film scheduled for release on December 17, 2010 (US and Canada). It is a sequel to the 1982 film Tron. Joseph Kosinski makes his feature film directorial debut with Tron: Legacy , while the previous film director, Steven Lisberger, returns as a producer. It is apart of the Tron: Legacy viral campain for the upcoming film. The game we wish we could have played as a kid is here now and for all of us to enjoy. “Tron Legacy” To Get A Sequel The film isn't even out until December of this year, but we got word that Disney already is putting a sequel on fast track. Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, the “Lost” writers/co-executive producers who worked on “Legacy,” have begun writing a sequel to the studio’s sci-fi tentpole. No details have been released because it is so early in the process. Notwithstanding the question of whether the movie will be a hit, other topics to ponder are whether the sequel will focus on spinoff characters or center on a new adventure set in the “Tron” world. Insiders have suggested that Kitsis and Horowitz are working on a way to round the story into a trilogy. No deals have been made with “Legacy” director Joseph Kosinski or cast members to return, though options were placed in the original deals, and Disney surely would hope to reunite all the elements if “Legacy” proves to be a hit. Encom Press Conference At Wonder Con This was the event that I went down on Friday to Wonder Con for.  The sole purpose of my trip that day was to experience this event first hand and not have to read about it somewhere else. We all knew that the Newly-minted Executive Consultant Alan Bradley was going to introduce the latest addition to the Encom International product library on April 2 in San Francisco. But before that there was a secret meeting by the group that runs Flynn Lives which I attended.  They explained how they were going to over take the press conference and demanded that Encom re-instate the search for Kevin Flynn.
