What Do You Think? Today the The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards ,were announced in Hollywood,Ca. There are some definite surprise on this list to say the least. The award show is presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, a group of journalists, will be broadcast on NBC on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011. Katie Holmes Joins Sandler's Jack And Jill Katie Holmes is in talks to star opposite Adam Sandler and Al Pacino in " Jack and Jill ," a Columbia comedy being directed by Dennis Dugan. In the film, Jack, a family man, deals with his twin sister, Jill, when she visits for Thanksgiving then won't leave. Sandler will play both characters. Holmes would play Sandler's wife; Pacino is set to play himself. "Jack," being produced by Sandler and Happy Madison partner Jack Giarraputo with Todd Garner, is planning an October shoot. The role marks Holmes' first studio film since 2005's " Batman Begins ." In between, she took a break from acting but graced the screen in 2008's small-budgeted " Mad Money ." She has several ensemble indies in the can -- including romantic drama "The Romantics" and crime thriller " The Son of No One " -- and stars in the Guillermo del Toro-produced chiller " Don't

Guillermo del Toro's Don't Be Afraid of the the Dark Trailer Here is the first trailer for the Guillermo del Toro produced film Don't Be Afraid of the the Dark . THis trailer was previewd During the panel at Comic-Con, and it scared the hell out of me. I am not a huge horror fan but this is one of the films I will be lining up to watch. The movie is a remake of an old 1970's TV film of the same and it was co-written by del Toro and Matthew Robbins. The movie was directed by first time feature film director Troy Nixey, and it stars Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce, Bailee Madison , and Jack Thompson . Al Pacino Slides Into "Son Of No One" Al Pacino is slipping into the shoes vacated by Robert De Niro in "Son of No One," the police thriller starring Channing Tatum being directed by Dito Montiel. Hannibal Pictures is pacting with Nu Image/Millenium Films to co-produce and co-distribute the movie, which begins shooting in New York on March 22. The script, written by Montiel, centers on a young cop (Tatum) who is assigned to a precinct in the working class neighborhood where he grew up, with an old secret surfacing and threatening to destroy his life and family. Katie Holmes To Star In "The Romantics" Holmes’ arrival on the movie, which starts filming this week in New York, is a further signal that her film career is go again. Holmes will play Laura, the maid of honour at the wedding of her best friend, Lila (Anna Paquin). Only problem is, Laura has got previous with the groom (Josh Duhamel). Malin Akerman, Elijah Wood, Jeremy Strong and Adam Brody complete an impressive cast of bright young things. Galt Neiderhoffer will direct, having adapted the screenplay from her own novel. Holmes’ arrival on the movie, which starts filming this week in New York, is a further signal that her film career is go again, following her leading role in the Guillermo del Toro-produced horror, Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark.
