The pair had an easy chemistry as married couple Pete and Debbie - her, slightly controlling; him, slightly gormless; both very funny - and, by the standards of your average comedy, offered a pretty realistic depiction of the ebbs and flows of married life. Judd Apatow, Mann's real other half, returns to write and direct. Hitflix sounded Apatow out to find out if he saw it as prequel or sequel to Knocked Up. Neither, it turns out. "It is just a story from Pete and Debbie's current life," Apatow told the site. "People really responded to their characters and problems. Starring Katherine Heigl and directed by Andy Tennant from a script by J. Mills Goodloe, Salvador Paskowitz and Allison Burnett, Adaline is a turn-of-the-20th-century tale of a strangely ageless young woman who falls in love after years of isolation. Set for release in early 2012, Adaline will begin lensing in March with Sidney Kimmel and Jim Tauber producing, alongside Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi of Lakeshore Entertainment. Steve Golin and Alix Madigan also will produce through Anonymous Content; Heigl and Nancy Heigl will exec produce via their Abishag. Summit chief Rob Friedman called the pic "a fantastic story that we believe will resonate with the American audience." Social Network Still #1 At The Box Office The enormous drawing power of Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel and a crapping baby couldn’t best the seething cauldron of ambition and computer programming at the core of The Social Network , as David Fincher’s latest edged out a win to top the US box office charts for a second week in a row with $15.5 million across the weekend. The Duhamel/Heigl comedy Life as We Know It still managed to survive some very mixed reviews to take second place, scoring $14.6 million. That meant Disney’s true-life horse drama Secretariat had to make do with third place, though we doubt it’ll be off to the glue factory just yet, with a decent if unspectacular $12.6 million. Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole saw its wings clipped very slightly, slipping down from second to fourth, but it still added $7 million to its running total, which now stands at $39.4 million. Katherine Heigl To Play A Bounty Hunter Katherine Heigl is set to star in an upcoming film called "One for the Money" which is based on the Janet Evanovich novel of the same name. She will play Stephanie Plum who is an unemployed lingerie buyer who becomes a bounty hunter to make ends meet. Just sounds like a bad idea, Hollywood movie studios have faith in her, which u can not argue with.Heigl last film "The Ugly Truth," earned more than $200 million in worldwide.Go figure. I really have no idea why she appeals to people? Evanovich's Plum series is up to 15 novels, all with titles that have a number theme. A 16th Plum novel hits shelves this summer. Reese Witherspoon was previously attached to take on the role, but the project has been dormant for several years.
