Paul Feig and his “The Heat” scribe, Katie Dippold are co-writing this all-female new GHOSTBUSTERS movie. The story will once again be set in New York City. Feig previously stated that he wants this reboot to be a lot scarier but it will still be PG-13. Starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon as the new team. And their receptionist will be played by none other than Chris Hemsworth . GHOSTBUSTERS arrives July 22, 2016 Andy Garcia, will play New York City mayor. HBO’s favorite, actor Michael Kenneth Williams, will play a character named Hawkins. Matt Walsh plays a character named Rourke. Co-starring Cecily Strong in a not-yet disclosed role. As the cameras continue to roll on Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters , the Spy director is adding more cast members to his ensemble. He now has Andy Garcia, Matt Walsh and Michael Kenneth Williams on board. As you’ll likely already know, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon are already busy in the main roles, playing four women who must stop New York being swamped by spooks and ghouls. Garcia is playing the mayor of the city the man who, if he holds true to Ghostbusters tradition, won’t be the biggest fan of the characters, at least not until he really needs their help. Walsh , currently best known for playing the nervy Mike McLintock on Veep, will be a character known as Rourke, though we don’t know what he’ll be up to. Could he be the usual busybody who gets in the Ghostbusters’ way? If so, he’ll be joining a proud lineage that includes actors William Atherton and Kurt Fuller.
