007-Skyfall Video Blog

Following Peter Jackson's fine Hobbit examples, Sam Mendes has opted to post occasional video blogs as Skyfall comes together. The first of them has just arrived at official site 007.com Except blogging isn't quite what's going on here: rather than Jackson's method of presenting to-camera, this actually seems to be footage of a Mendes interview, very possibly being put together for a DVD documentary. The director talks about his personal connection to James Bond, his love of the films growing up and how impressed he was with Casino Royale, and with Daniel Craig's Bond in particular. He points out that, despite being a British director, Skyfall is his first British movie, since the previous half dozen have all been shot on American soil. Critically, there's practically no Skyfall footage in the brief ninety-second clip, although there's a glimpse of Craig creeping around with his Walther, as already seen in the still released a few weeks ago. SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE Blu-ray Review By: RAMA

SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE Blu-ray Review By: RAMA What did RAMA think of SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE Blu-Ray? Make sure to follow him on Facebook and Twitter . The competition during Oscar season in 1999 was tough because Saving Private Ryan was excellent and so was The Thin Red Line, but SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE came out the winner, deservingly so. I think it’s because the film was not just about celebration of love, but it’s also celebration of literature, performance and theater and the genius behind some of the great plays in history, so timeless that those works remain a source of inspiration for many playwrights and filmmakers today. In a bonus segment of this blu-ray, you’d find one of the filmmakers said a statement that I fully agree with, that statement was.. if William Shakespeare were alive today, he’d have a five-picture deal with Warner Bros. and drive a Porsche. Hollywood rewards storytellers of such caliber, talents whose words could move you like no other. SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE

007.com Is Up & Ralph Fiennes Gives Us Little About His Character

Of the many films that we have to look forward to this year, the upcoming Skyfall , until recently known as Bond 23, is one of the biggest titles coming to us in 2012. Directed by Sam Mendes ( American Beauty ), the film has a fantastic cast with Daniel Craig of course reprising his role as James Bond, supported by the likes of Javier Bardem in the villain’s role, Dame Judi Dench as M, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Ola Rapace, Helen McCrory, and Albert Finney . “ In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.” The film’s official website, 007.com , has launched, with a countdown to the film’s release date and a short introductory video from long-time Bond co-producer Michael G. Wilson, whose credits include Moonraker, Licence to Kill, Goldeneye, Casino Royale, and Quantum of Solace, to name but a few. Fiennes has been speaki

J. EDGAR Movie Review By: Rama

J. EDGAR Movie Review By: Rama So what did Rama think of J.EDGAR ? Looks like it is time to find out. Make to follow him on Facebook and Twitter . I think Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance, the make-up and costume design all deserve Oscar nods for J. EDGAR but I just can’t get into the film because it seems to me that it’s unable to make up its mind on how it would present J. Edgar Hoover. Oscar winning screenwriter, Dustin Lance Black, who I admire for his work on Milk, gets lost in spinning fascinating lines like “When Morals Decline and Good Men Do Nothing Evil Flourishes”, which to me is more or less another version of Edmund Burke’s famous quote, to decide if the audience wants to see the closet homosexual side of Hoover or the ambitious side of him, or the side that clings too much to his mother or the side the blackmails presidents using the files he’s accumulated and kept over the years. But today’s audience probably don’t know much about the man who ruled FBI for deca

Olivia Wilde Replaces Jennifer Garner In Better Living Through Chemistry

Looks like Jennifer Garner ’s loss is Olivia Wilde ’s gain, as the Cowboys & Aliens actress is replacing the Arthur co-star in the cast of indie comedy drama Better Living Through Chemistry . Garner’s got a good excuse, though: she’s just announced that she’s pregnant with her third child, which will put a bump in her schedule. Now Wilde will feature as the trophy wife who lures a weak-willed, small-town chemist (her Cowboys & Aliens co-star Sam Rockwell ) from his loveless marriage with nights of passion and the pleasures of prescription drugs. But things go haywire when they start planning to kill Wilde’s husband. Michelle Monaghan is also in the cast, as Rockwell’s wife, which makes us question quite why he’d be cheating in the first place. Oh, and Judi Dench is the movie’s narrator. Geoff Moore and David Posamentier, who wrote the script and saw it land squarely on the 2010 Black List, are stepping up to direct. Given the changes in casting (Rockwell is taking

Judi Dench Returning For Bond 23

Actress Dame Judi Dench has revealed she will return to play head of MI6, M , in the new James Bond film, which will see Daniel Craig play the role of the British spy for a third time. Dame Judi also advised Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush, Oscar-nominated for their roles in The King's Speech, that the best way to get through the six-hour ceremony was to "keep nudging people". After severe delays amid uncertainty over film studio MGM's future, the 23rd Bond film, directed by Sam Mendes, is set to be released in November 2012. Please Leave A Comment- Source- BBC

Clint Eastwood Talks Casting DiCaprio,Theron & Dench For Upcoming J. Edgar Film

Eastwood Talks Casting For Upcoming Film J. Edgar The star were aligned for the Sandwich last night during the Red Carpet for the California Hall Of Fame induction. First I got an interview with The Man, James Cameron , which is hard for a small website like mine with no money behind it, just hard work. And as you can tell Hard Work does pay off. From a a distance a cloud of dust over takes the red carpet. And I hear the theme from The Good, The Bad & The Ugly . No, it can't be, the a misty cloud comes over the area and I hear " Go ahead, make my day" . Well, not really, but Clint Eastwood appears and I had no clue he was going to attend the ceremony. I was so unprepared for this one. Mr. Eastwood walked the Red Carpet, taking a time out to talk to James Cameron. Again the BIG dogs get their chance to get the first crack at him. There was no way I was going to let this once in a life time chance to talk to Dirty Harry, pass me bye... The first thing I ha

First Picture Of Michelle Williams As Monroe

Michelle Williams As Monroe It's icons 'r' us this afternoon, thanks to this uncannily doppelganger-like shot of Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe in My Week With Marilyn . The actress is togging up to play the iconic blonde in the Weinstein Company/Trademark Films co-production, now underway at Pinewood. My Week With Marilyn is an adaptation of Colin Clark's novel, which recounts the story of Monroe's visit to Britain to film The Prince And The Showgirl with Lawrence Olivier ( Kenneth Branagh ) in 1956. As you might expect, the pair don't exactly become bosom buddies. Under pressure and looking for a temporary escape from the Hollywood spotlight, Monroe takes off on a week-long jaunt with Clark ( Eddie Remayne ), a lowly on-set assistant, in a kind of Roman Road holiday. Monroe, recently married to Arthur Miller ( Dougray Scott ), gets to sample the delights of London life. Here's hoping she gives jellied eels a wide berth. Williams joins a
