THR is reporting that Oscar-winning rapper-turned-actor Common has closed a deal to join the cast of Suicide Squad , Warner Bros.' all-star action movie featuring DC Entertainment super-villains. David Ayer is directing the feature, which already boasts actors Jared Leto as the Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Also in the lineup are Joel Kinnaman, Cara Delevingne, Viola David, Adam Beach, Ike Barinholtz, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Scott Eastwood . There will also possibly be cameos of Jesse Eisenberg who plays Lex Luthor and Ben Affleck as Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, who are rumored to appear as Warners builds its own cinematic universe. The home of the DC Cinematic Universe, interest had been building for awhile with their plan to release an extended trailer for Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice on Monday April 20th. Seats had been reserved, Zack Snyder "swag" had been hinted at by the director, and fans were ready. That is, until a Portuguese version of the same trailer popped up online that same Thursday night . Although WB did its best to knock down sites that distributed the grainy cam-capture, it was clear they were fighting an uphill battle. Todd Phillips has turned to Jonah Hill to lead the charge of his next pic. Sources tell Variety that the two-time Oscar nominee is in talks to star in Phillips’ “ Arms and the Dudes ” for Warner Bros. Jesse Eisenberg and Shia LaBeouf had to depart due to delayed scheduling, and Warners worked fast to find replacements. The studio has offered the co-starring role to Miles Teller to replace LaBeouf. Based on the Rolling Stone article by Guy Lawson, the story follows two unlikely arms dealers who got a $300 million contract to supply weapons for U.S. allies in Afghanistan. Flush with ambition for their new slate of superhero adventures, Warner Bros. and DC appear to be planning more crossovers. Nothing is confirmed yet, but according to Deadline , the companies are talking to Jesse Eisenberg about bringing his take on Lex Luthor from Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice to the film based on the Suicide Squad that has David Ayer attached to direct. As of right now, it’s only at the discussion stage mostly because Eisenberg has a busy schedule ahead. We expected Warner Bros. to bring some sweet reveals for their 2016 release of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice to Comic-Con, and they certainly did not disappoint. First came Ben Affleck and the Batmobile , then Superman standing in what looked like a rainy Gotham . But, we hadn't seen Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, leaving some to wonder whether she could play the part. Until now. On his Twitter account, Director Zak Snyder released this image of the Amazonian princess just a few minutes ago: At first glance, it's hard to tell where Wonder Woman is, except that she's standing on top of wreckage, definitely something made of concrete. Could this Metropolis, Gotham, or a new location? Her uniform is darker - probably for the best - looking more like Xena than Linda Carter. Now, though, it appears the wraps are coming off both figuratively and literally, as the director has teased a look at the film’s Batmobile AND given us a surprise.
