Jennifer Aniston is confirmed to join Mark Duplass and Ben Kingsley in surreal sci-fi comedy " Convention ." Aniston had long been rumored to be circling the project, which locked Duplass and Kingsley last May. Aniston will play Duplass' sister as the pair inadvertently rip a hole in the fabric of the universe after he invents a five-sided box, to revolutionize the box storage world, which defies the laws of physics. Kingsley plays a maniacal, rival box magnate. The film, described as "Kaufman-esque," is the sophomore feature effort of commercials helmer Justin Reardon, who recently finished lensing his debut feature "A Many Splintered Thing," starring Chris Evans and Michelle Monaghan. The last time Universal dabbled in the dark sequel arts with regards to Jim Carrey comedy vehicle Bruce Almighty , we got 2007’s floptastic Evan Almighty , which did little to help Steve Carell’s blossoming film career. John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, the screenwriters behind New Line’s surprise workplace comedy hit Horrible Bosses , have closed a deal to pen a sequel. It is expected that Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis will be back to star in the movie, and the studio is in early talks with helmer Seth Gordon to return to the director’s chair. Bosses, released July 8, saw Bateman, Day and Sudeikis as harried workers who, in Strangers on a Train meets Nine to Five fashion, try to off each others’ bosses. Just Go With It looks to have grossed $30.5 million, while Never Say Never took in roughly $29.5 million. Sunday’s estimates had Just Go With It and Never Say Never separated by only $700,000, or $31 million vs. $30.3 million, respectively. Either way, Never Say Never—fueled by young girls--far outpaced expectations in its debut, one of the top ever for a documentary. Including revenue from advance screenings on Feb. 9, film’s cume is north of $30 million. Never Say Never, directed by Jon M. Chu, is more of a biopic than a concert film.
