BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Penelope Cruz Joins The Counselor

As expected, Penelope Cruz has joined the stellar cast of the Ridley Scott -directed The Counselor , and I’m told that she is planning to team up again this summer with director Pedro Almodovar in Los Amantes Pasajeros, the comedy he will shoot this summer in Madrid. The title’s translation is The Brief Lovers, and reports say it’s about an affair on an airplane. It is what the actress considers a special collaboration between herself and Almodovar, whose films together include Broken Embraces, Volver, All About My Mother and Live Flesh. Cruz joins Paz Vega, Lola Dueñas, Javier Cámara, Cecelia Roth, Carlos Areces, Raúl Arévalo and José Maria Yazpik. In The Counselor , Cruz will star with Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem and Cameron Diaz in a drama that has been called No Country For Old Men on steroids. New Action Packed Images From SKYFALL

Empire got their hands on Exclusive new images from the film SKYFALL , starring  Daniel Craig and  Javier Bardem. As the mammoth, six-month production moves into its final few weeks, the producers of Skyfall decided it was time for some show and (to a much lesser extent) tell. For the past two days, the doors of Pinewood have been opened (well, moved slightly ajar) to the world’s press. Including a weirdly convincing fibreglass tube train, a partially flooded subterranean tunnel and a platform of Temple Station, all constructed on the gargantuan 007 Stage — then were also treated to a small but impressive explosion, during a scene in which Bond ( Daniel Craig ) desperately pursues this movie’s big bad, Silva ( Javier Bardem ). See all the images after the Jump... The sense was of a movie as tough and gritty as you’d expect of the Craig-era Bonds, but also shot (digitally) with a pin-sharp elegance rarely before seen, by director Sam Mendes, and his celebrat

Michael Fassbender Is The Counselor

Michael Fassbender has committed to star in The Counselor , the Cormac McCarthy-scripted thriller that Ridley Scott is making his next film.  Scott went right to Fassbender, who stars in Prometheus for Scott and 20th Century Fox. Scott has landed one of the hottest actors in Hollywood, is eyeing a May 1 start date, and talking to a number of high-profile actors to take part in a film that insiders are describing as “No Country For Old Men on steroids.” The Counselor is reminiscent of the rough-and-tumble world depicted in the Oscar-winning adaptation of McCarthy’s novel No Country For Old Men. The protagonist is a respected lawyer who thinks he can dip a toe in to the drug business without getting sucked down. It is a bad decision and he tries his best to survive it and get out of a desperate situation. Now, Scott has to get his bad guy. Last time there was a villain like this conjured up by McCarthy, J avier Bardem played him and won an Oscar in No Country For Old Men. I’m hearing

007-Skyfall Video Blog

Following Peter Jackson's fine Hobbit examples, Sam Mendes has opted to post occasional video blogs as Skyfall comes together. The first of them has just arrived at official site 007.com Except blogging isn't quite what's going on here: rather than Jackson's method of presenting to-camera, this actually seems to be footage of a Mendes interview, very possibly being put together for a DVD documentary. The director talks about his personal connection to James Bond, his love of the films growing up and how impressed he was with Casino Royale, and with Daniel Craig's Bond in particular. He points out that, despite being a British director, Skyfall is his first British movie, since the previous half dozen have all been shot on American soil. Critically, there's practically no Skyfall footage in the brief ninety-second clip, although there's a glimpse of Craig creeping around with his Walther, as already seen in the still released a few weeks ago. I am sure before the production date of this film, the title will change. The cast that he has lined up for this film is shaping up pretty nice. Hackman who last starred in 2004’s Welcome to Mooseport—is content writing books and narrating commercials for Home Depot and isn’t eager to return to the screen. The film is about  two soldiers in a New Jersey-based crime family who try to expand internationally.
