BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

(Exclusive) What the Batman/Superman Trailer Tells Us

We analyze the footage for clues in this superhero throwdown. Story by Matt Cummings Warner Bros. is moving forward with a huge expansion of its Justice League universe, hiring a replacement director for Wonder Woman , prepping for a Suicide Squad film, and revealing their possible choice to direct Aquaman . At the center of this is the highly-anticipated Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice , a film designed to officially launch the entire ship of DC's greatest superheroes. In anticipation of that event, Director Zack Snyder is hosting an exclusive event at nearby IMAX theaters , whereby fans were promised a view of the trailer on Monday, April 27th. And then the Internet happened. It was revealed on Thursday that a subtitled Portuguese version of the trailer was leaked using a handheld camera or cellphone and eventually uploaded to YouTube. The trailer was quickly removed, but not before companies like CNET and others posted it, causing immediate fan reaction. Wh

Comic-Con 2014: Batman v Superman Teaser Trailer Description

The trailer has been released to an enthusiastic response by Hall H attendees. We expected Warner Bros. to bring some sweet reveals for their 2016 release of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice to Comic-Con, and they certainly did not disappoint. In addition to releasing the first image of Wonder Woman , Director Zack Snyder also presented material from the movie. He was accompanied by cast members Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman), and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman). This is the summary as told by Screenrant.com: "The Batman V Superman teaser footage shown at the event began with Affleck’s Caped Crusader standing atop a Gotham rooftop on a rainy night; his eyes then light up solid white, before he removes a tarp and reveals the Batsignal underneath. Following that, the camera track up towards the sky, revealing Cavill’s Superman hovering in the spotlight; he looks extremely angry, as his eyes light up red, preparing to fire his heat vision. Cue the film’s offic

Comic-Con 2014: Wonder Woman Pic Released!

We've got the story (and the picture) right after the jump! For awhile now, we've been reporting on the steady stream of news surrounding Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice . First came Ben Affleck and the Batmobile , then Superman standing in what looked like a rainy Gotham . But, we hadn't seen Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, leaving some to wonder whether she could play the part. Until now. On his Twitter account, Director Zak Snyder released this image of the Amazonian princess just a few minutes ago: At first glance, it's hard to tell where Wonder Woman is, except that she's standing on top of wreckage, definitely something made of concrete. Could this Metropolis, Gotham, or a new location? Her uniform is darker - probably for the best - looking more like Xena than Linda Carter. Either way, we now have the Trinity assembled and we're sure to get more today ad Comic-Con 2014 hits its stride. What do you think of the new image? Batman v S

DC Comics To Shake Up The Movie World

nikkifinke has come out with a big bang.  Warner Bros Pictures is way behind Marvel Studios when it comes to making movies out of its comic book properties. Nikkifinke is reporting on what's coming up at this July’s Comic-Con from the studio. A lot of stuff remains in flux but her sources have so far: May 2016 – Batman v Superman July 2016 – Shazam Xmas 2016 – Sandman May 2017 – Justice League July 2017 – Wonder Woman Xmas 2017 – Flash and Green Lantern team-up May 2018 – Man Of Steel 2 There had been talk of a Metal Men and Suicide Squad movie for sometime in 2016 but that project fell off the schedule. Meanwhile, if you were wondering why Batman v Superman was delayed, it wasn’t the script or Ben Affleck or Jesse Eisenberg but with the fact that this pic will act as a launching pad for the Justice League. According to my source, “Like Marvel’s The Avengers, there will be cameos of superheroes for future installments. The cameos will include the already known Cybo

Batmobile Tease By Zack Snyder (UPDATE)

Though shooting has been underway for a while now on the yet-to-be-titled, Batman-filled follow-up to Man Of Steel , Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. have been careful not to let too much slip. Now, though, it appears the wraps are coming off both figuratively and literally, as the director has teased a look at the film’s Batmobile AND given us a surprise. Tweeting the image via his official account  on Monday, Snyder showed off a look at the vehicle still mostly covered in a dingy, disused factory. It’s tough to tell from this initial peek, but the shape appears to be favoring the Tim Burton/Joel Schumacher era vehicle with a hint of the Tumbler from Christopher Nolan’s Bat-universe. On Tuesday, Snyder revealed this image, which includes a surprise...The Dark Knight himself.  Let's start with the Batmobile: it's clear that Snyder is pulling elements from all the Batman films, including Tim Burton's series with Michael Keaton.  The cockpit-style door looks almost i

Justice League Movie Coming After Batman-Superman Movie

The news has about as much shock value as a plastic Halloween mask on a parrot with the lights turned on, but after plenty of speculation, Warner Bros. has gone on the record with the Wall Street Journal about plans for a Justice League movie. And according to the studio’s bosses, Zack Snyder is the man to make it. We’ve suspected this was coming for ages, especially since Snyder’s current assignment, which Warners’ president of worldwide production Greg Silverman labels Superman Vs. Batman though no official title has been announced, is so loaded with DC heroes it’s a wonder the studio doesn’t just go ahead and call it Justice League: Prequel. Still, perhaps the confirmation that a Justice League film proper is coming after Superman Vs Batman can lay to rest concerns that this next film might be a Justice League effort in disguise. With Henry Cavill’s Superman now joined by Ben Affleck’s Batman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and a host of other characters (including Lex Luthor,

Cyborg Cast In Batman-Superman Film

After testing actors over the past couple of weeks, Warner Bros. and DC have tapped theater actor Ray Fisher for the role of Cyborg in the untitled Batman-Superman pic. Victor Stone or Cyborg , while not a major part in the Batman-Superman feature, is a member of the Justice League, and the role will become much more significant role as Warner and DC develop more films related to the Justice League universe, sources confirm. Warner Bros. had no comment on this story. Fisher joins the Batman-Superman cast that includes Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Jesse Eisenberg, Gal Gadot and Amy Adams . Zack Snyder is directing from a script by David S. Goyer, based on a story by Goyer and Snyder. Production is currently under way in Michigan. In the bonus feature on the recent “Man of Steel” homevideo release, Cavill, who plays Superman in the film, said there’s a great deal of promise in Cyborg as well as the fictional research facility S.T.A.R. Labs, which appears in several DC Comi

Casting News For Superman Vs Batman

Though Zack Snyder still hasn’t zeroed in on a name for his Man Of Steel follow-up (or if he has, he’s not telling us yet), he has at least chosen some new actors for the film. According to Variety , Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey and Tao Okamoto are all aboard. In true Superman/Batman (or is it Batman Vs. Superman or even All-Star Superhero Variety Hour Fun Time Go?) style, the roles that the newcomers are playing are being kept quiet for now until an official announcement is made. Or, more likely, “sources close to the production” leak the information online. What we do know is that they’re apparently new characters created for the movie. The trio joins announced stars Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Jeremy Irons (Alfred Pennyworth). Diane Lane is also expected to return as Clark’s adoptive mother Mar
