Relativity Studios and dance entertainment network Da ceOn have just announced a joint contest and YouTube influencer campaign for the upcoming movie BEYOND THE LIGHTS - opening in theaters nationwide on November 14th! The new romantic drama was written and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood (Love & Basketball) and stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Nate Parker, Minnie Driver, Colson "MGK" Baker and Danny Glover . DanceOn Network megastars, Les Twins, Willdabeast, Lil'Buck and Emily Sasson participated in the campaign by sharing their movie-inspired videos, featuring the song "Masterpiece" produced by The Dream and sung by the main character, Noni ( Gugu Mbatha-Raw ) and featuring Kid Culprit ( MGK ). And now, professional and amateur dancers alike can submit videos (showcasing how they were inspired by the movie's songs and themes) for the chance to win $1,000! The period piece Belle suffers from a fluff script but looks amazing in the process. And while its story of 18th Century English slavery and social convention looks amazing, it's too self-congratulatory and lacks the emotion of a real winner. NBC Picks Up J.J. Abrams' Undercovers Up NBC has picked up J.J. Abrams' spy-fi drama Undercovers for the 2010-11 TV season.
