Gravity Trailer Starring Clooney & Bullock

Beautiful vistas of the Earth. George Clooney being a reassuring astronaut. Explosions. Sandra Bullock doing her best Shia LaBeouf impression (you’ll understand when you watch it): it can only be the teaser trailer for Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity . Bullock plays Dr Ryan Stone, a medical engineer in orbit for her first shuttle mission, working alongside veteran space jockey Matt Kowalsky ( Clooney ), on his last trip before retirement (because, like police officers, that never ends badly). While they’re out on a routine spacewalk tragedy strikes and their shuttle is destroyed in a random accident. The pair finds themselves suddenly very much alone, tethered only to each other and floating off into the inky depths. There’s no radio contact with Earth, and as panic sets in, they discover the only way to get home might be to go deeper into space. 'Deeper?' we hear you think and then say out loud, 'surely not!' But soothe yourselves: that will all be explained. We

George Clooney To Produce Coronado High

In what amounts to their first move since winning the Best Picture Oscar for " Argo ," George Clooney and Grant Heslov are planning to produce " Coronado High ," a feature film adaptation of Joshuah Bearman's upcoming article, which Sony Pictures is in talks to acquire and develop as a potential directing vehicle for Clooney. Bearman's article has not been published yet so details remain thin, but those familiar with the story say it involves a group of teenagers who are used to smuggle drugs in Coronado, which is an affluent resort city near San Diego, California. Clooney and Heslov will produce with David Klawans, who executive produced "Argo." He's also producing an adaptation of Bearman's 2010 Wired magazine article "Art of the Steal." Bearman is the award-winning journalist whose Wired magazine article served as the basis for "Argo," which Clooney and Heslov produced through their Smoke House banner along wi

Hugh Laurie In Talks To Star In Tomorrowland

Hugh Laurie is in negotiations to play the villain in Tomorrowland , Disney’s top secret sci-fi project starring George Clooney and being directed by Brad Bird . The plot of the movie project, which until a couple of weeks ago was being called 1952 , is under lock and key, though it has been described as being in the vein of Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Steven Spielberg’s 1978 movie about a man searching for extra-terrestrials on Earth. All that is known about Laurie’s character is that he serves as the movie’s antagonist. Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof co-wrote the script with Jeff Jensen, an editor at Entertainment Weekly. The pedigree of Bird and Lindelof, their standing in the geek community and the force field of secrecy enveloping the project have raised interest in Tomorrowland. Laurie is best known for his Emmy-nominated starring role as the brilliant but cold title character in Fox's House M.D. which ran from 2004-12. The show kept him busy, but he d

ARGO Movie Review. Does The Film Deserve An Oscar?

ARGO Movie Review  By: MattInRC Make sure to follow MattInRC on Twitter for all his reviews. Ben Affleck's Argo is an engrossing and smart historical thriller that while not perfect has much to celebrate. Most films based on true stories inevitably suffer from two issues: how much has been embellished, and will audiences embrace a film in which they already know the ending. These were the questions surrounding the historical drama/thriller Argo before its release; and while we all know how things will end, we find ourselves on the edge of our seat, at once cheering for the safe return of Americans that we already know did come home, and booing those responsible for making this world such a dangerous place afterwards. Our story isn't about character redemption, finding one's soul after a two-hour dramatic exposition, or some other feel-good plot designed to win Oscars: it's about CIA agent Tony Mendez ( Ben Affleck , Dogma) following through on his

Win Tickets to An Advance Screening For ARGO In Sacramento

Win your tickets to see an advance screening for ARGO ! The screening is on Monday, October 8 at 7:00PM in Sacramento. Based on real events, the dramatic thriller “ ARGO ” chronicles the life-or-death covert operation to rescue six Americans, which unfolded behind the scenes of the Iran hostage crisis—the truth of which was unknown by the public for decades. The film stars Ben Affleck, Bryan Cranston, Alan Arkin and John Goodman . On November 4, 1979, as the Iranian revolution reaches its boiling point, militants storm the U.S. embassy in Tehran, taking 52 Americans hostage. But, in the midst of the chaos, six Americans manage to slip away and find refuge in the home of Canadian Ambassador Ken Taylor. Knowing it is only a matter of time before the six are found out and likely killed, a CIA “exfiltration” specialist named Tony Mendez comes up with a risky plan to get them safely out of the country. A plan so incredible, it could only happen in the movies.

Emma Watson Your Voice In My Head

Warner Bros is negotiating to acquire Your Voice in My Head , the Emma Forrest -scripted drama based on the scribe’s memoir that is expected to be the next film by director David Yates . The film is shaping up to be a Harry Potter reunion. Yates is in discussions with Emma Watson to star in the role of a young woman who attempts suicide before being saved by a New York-based psychiatrist who’s dying of cancer. Watson and Yates worked together on the last four Harry Potter films. Warner Bros has made it a priority to get right back in business with Yates. The studio offered him its script Imitation Game, but Yates didn’t bite and the studio is putting together a list of directors I’m told includes Ralph Fiennes and Bryan Singer. As for the lead male role in Your Voice in My Head, the studio is aiming high, with names like Tom Hanks and George Clooney in the mix. Yates is expected to make this film before he does A Reliable Wife at Sony. Please Leave A Comment- Source- Deadline

THE DESCENDANTS Movie Review By: Rama

THE DESCENDANTS Movie Review By: Rama So does RAMA think George Clooney pulled of an Oscar worthy performance in the film? Make sure to Follow him on Facebook and Twitter . Alexander Payne is back and thank God he’s back! It’s been a while since Sideways, which I admired, now Payne has given his next masterpiece and just like his previous works, this too has Oscars written all over it. Everything about THE DESCENDANTS is close to perfect from the writing, directing to the performances. The film is a gentle but firm and genuine ring of emotions, so well-crafted that you get even more and more interested in the characters as the story progresses. George Clooney has given some outstanding performances in the past but his performance in THE DESCENDANTS proves that he truly is one of the finest actors of all time. And for the record, I think Shailene Woodley deserves a best supporting nod… Matt King ( George Clooney ), a husband and father of two girls, must re-examine his pas
