BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Eva Green To Do Battle As Artemisia

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ 300 prequel hasn't found its male star yet, but the movie is zeroing in on its female lead. Eva Green has entered negotiations to play Artemisia in the movie, which is currently working with the title 300: Battle of Artemisia . Noam Murro (Smart People) is directing. The epic follow-up to 2006's Gerard Butler action pic 300 sees the Persian king-turned-god Xerxes lead an army against Greek forces, who have little training but are under the guidance of a general named Themistokles. (The giant battle at the center of this movie is supposed to occur at the same time as the fighting in 300.) Green would play a ruthless, gold-covered goddess who persuades Xerxes to amass his army and helps lead them into battle. The studio is hoping to start production in the first quarter of 2012. Mark Canton, Gianni Nunnari, Bernie Goldman, Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder and Thomas Tull are producing. British actress Green may be best known to Americ

First Image Of The Cast From "Dark Shadows"

EW scored the first photo of Johnny Depp ’s vampire from Dark Shadows ! Last week, long-range paparazzi shots of the actor wearing ghostly white makeup, large sunglasses and a pulled down fedora made fans of the original 1966-71 supernatural soap opera bristle nervously, with complaints he looked simply too strange. Nevermind that he’s playing a 200-year-old vampire, which is strange enough. As you can see from this cast shot, Depp’s bloodsucking pater familias Barnabas Collins actually borrows heavily from the aged-little boy look of original Dark Shadows star Jonathan Frid — not that anyone would be happy to see this guy show up as your prom date either. Still, this official First Look may reassure those die-hard fans of the original series, memorably offbeat ABC daytime drama about a vampire whose extended family are bedeviled by ghosts, witches, and other gothic woes. Depp, who fought for years to make this movie, is one of those fans. “I do remember, very vividly, practi

Colin Farrell As Quaid In Total Recall

Are you ready for your first official look at Colin Farrell as the new Doug Quaid ? He's a little thinner than Arnold Schwarzenegger's version, but Farrell's got the "what the hell's going on" stare down to a science! The new Total Recall is directed by Len Wiseman (of the Underworld series) and takes place in an area of nation-states that include Euromerica and New Shanghai. It's here that factory worker Douglas Quaid (Farrell) begins to believe that he's a spy but doesn't know which side has hired him. The first official photo from Total Recall appears in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, where Farrell describes the movie as "much less jokey" than the 1990 version. He claims that the tone will be completely different than what we saw in the past. "There's not as much tongue-in-cheek," he says. Judging from this photo, Total Recall has plenty of dark moments. It looks as if Quaid has been caught red-handed tryin

John Cho AKA Harold To Star In Total Recall

John Cho (Star Trek) has joined Total Recall , Sony’s remake of the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger sci-fi action film that begins shooting Monday in Toronto. Cho will play McClane, the smooth-talking rep for the mind-messing company that tempts Colin Farrell’s Douglas Quaid to implant fantastic memories into his brain. Bob McClane  was originally played by Ray Barker in the " Total Recall " “ Bob McClane ,” a Rekall manager and sales agent who convinces Quaid to buy an “Ego Trip” memory implant. Bryan Cranston has been cast as the futuristic villain played by Ronny Cox in the original film, and Ethan Hawke will have a small role as well. Bill Nighy , who worked with Recall‘s director Len Wiseman on the Underworld franchise, remains in talks, reportedly to play the revolutionary hero, Kuato . Please Leave A Comment- Source- EW

Ethan Hawke To Make A Cameo In Total Recall Remake

Ethan Hawke is boarding Total Recall , Columbia’s Colin Farrell-starring remake of the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger action movie. The original movie, based on the Philip K. Dick story, We Can Remember It for You Wholesale, followed a man haunted by a recurring dream of journeying to Mars who buys a literal dream vacation from a company called Rekall Inc., which sells implanted memories. The man comes to believe he is a secret agent and ends up on a Martian colony, where he fights to overthrow a despotic ruler controlling the production of air. The new story ditches the Martian storyline and instead involves nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai, with Douglas Quaid (Farrell) a factory worker in the latter who begins to believe he is a spy, although he doesn't know for which side. The movie has been casting up ahead of its June start in Toronto with Bryan Cranston playing the villain. Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel are in negotiations for the female leads. Hawke’s role i

Kate Beckinsale Offered Role Of Lori In Total Recall

Kate Beckinsale has been offered one of the female lead roles alongside Colin Farrell in the Sony Pictures remake Total Recall .  She's been offered to play Lori , who was portrayed in the 1990 Paul Verhoeven-directed actioner by Sharon Stone . In fact, that role really launched Stone's star after she transformed from the happy spouse of Douglas Quaid ( Arnold Schwarzenegger ) into someone completely different. Both that role and the role of Melina (played in the original by Rachel Ticotin) has drawn high interest from actresses. I've heard that Eva Mendes and Rosario Dawson are the serious contenders for the latter role. Beckinsale wasn't among the names most often mentioned among actresses who read for Lori. But she certainly has a track record with the film's director, Len Wiseman . They're married, and before that, worked together on the Underworld films. Beckinsale, who just wrapped Contraband with Mark Wahlberg, is also attached to star in The Tri

Colin Farrell is toplining the action movie, which is being directed by Len Wiseman and produced by Neal Moritz and his Original Film banner. The original 1990 movie was based on a Philip K. The film followed a man haunted by a recurring dream of journeying to Mars who buys a literal dream vacation from a company called Rekall Inc., which sells implanted memories. Total Recall Female Lead. Who Is It Going To Be?

Sony Pictures is casting up its Total Recall remake, which Len Wiseman will direct with Colin Farrell starring in the role originated by Arnold Schwarzenegger . There are two major female roles in the film, and several top actresses are vying for them. First, there is the role of Lori , who started out the 1990 Paul Verhoeven-directed original as the happy homemaker wife of Douglas Quaid, only to transform into the bride from hell. That's the role that really launched the star of Sharon Stone (who would star in Verhoeven's Basic Instinct) and I'm told that Kate Bosworth and Inglourious Basterds' Diane Kruger [UPDATE: Kruger's reps said she opted out of the reading] are reading this week for that role. Those readings began yesterday. There is also the role of Melina , which was originated by Rachel Ticotin , playing the woman who helps the protagonist get to the bottom of the futuristic scandal on Mars. I'm told that Eva Mendes and Paula Patton are re

Michelle Pfeiffer To Join Dark Shadows

Michelle Pfeiffer is in negotiations to reteam with Tim Burton for Dark Shadows , Warner Bros’ big-screen take on the 1960s gothic vampire TV soap opera starring Johnny Depp . The movie has an April start and has been casting up, with Jackie Earle Haley, Eva Green and Bella Heathcote already on board. Depp will portray Barnabas Collins, a self-loathing vampire living in a Maine manor who is searching for his lost love. Pfeiffer would play Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, the reclusive matriarch of the Collins family which runs the Maine town. The character has not left the mansion since the disappearance of her husband a decade earlier. Pfeiffer is finding herself very much in demand this new year. The actress is juggling a role in New Line’s all-star New Year’s Eve and shooting Welcome to People, the directorial debut of scribe Alex Kurtzman. The last time she worked with Burton was as Catwoman in 1992’s Batman Returns Please Leave A Comment- Source- Heatvision
