BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

First Image From "The World's End"

To mark the end of principal photography and, we like to think, as a Christmas present to fans, Simon Pegg has tweeted the first official still from The World's End , his reunion with director Edgar Wright and Nick Frost . It's the story of an apocalyptic pub crawl (aren't they all?) and so seems singularly suited for today when, er, no apocalypse has actually occurred despite predictions. The film sees Pegg play a slacker who reunites a group of friends to finish the pub crawl they abandoned years ago. Unfortunately, they're interrupted by some sort of large-scale event marking the end of days. Which is even more of a downer than an ill-timed chunder in your evening plans. This still shows Pegg's slightly Goth look, which couldn't be more of a contrast to Hot Fuzz's clean-cut Nick Angel. He's surrounded by the rest of the gang - Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Eddie Marsan and Paddy Considine. We are, naturally, looking forward to seeing this fin

Edgar Wright Gets Ready For Ant-Man

As speculation continues to swirl around the mystery of what Marvel movie will be released in May 2014 -- here's hoping that next month's Comic-Con will provide some answers -- Edgar Wright just quietly wrapped production on Ant-Man . But before you start hitting the tweet button, know this: it’s not the long-awaited Ant-Man movie but rather an Ant-Man test reel. Ant-Man is based on Marvel hero Hank Pym, a scientist who discovered a way to alter his size. He used a helmet to control armies of ants and also was a founding member of the Avengers. (Two other characters took up the mantle after Pym moved on -- one a thief named Scott Lang and the other a sketchy SHIELD agent.) Ant-Man, with Wright involved, was on the initial Marvel Studios slate that the company announced in the mid-2000s as it put Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk into development. But Ant-Man was then sidelined as the focus turned to the heroes that eventually ended up this summer’s Avengers. Wright h

THE ADVENTURES OF TITIN Movie Review By: Rama

THE ADVENTURES OF TITIN Movie Review By: Rama So did RAMA fall in love with TITIN ? Make sure to Follow him on Facebook and Twitter . It’s every bit as exciting as I’d hoped. THE ADVENTURES OF TITIN rocks! I think there should be a TINTIN theme ride 3D at Universal Studios because the film sure feels like you’re in one. Master storytellers Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson have brought to life one of all time’s iconic characters from the world of adventure and mystery. The CG mo-cap 3D turns out to be the perfect method and the perfect medium for this cinematic splendor. The action sequences are some of the most elaborate, the most clever and the most creative I’ve ever seen and they’re non-stop from start to end. Even if you didn’t grow up reading Herge’s comic books or watching the cartoon adaptation, Spielberg’s TINTIN is one of the best times you’ll have at the movies this year… Paramount Pictures and Columbia Pictures Present a 3D Motion Capture Film “ The Adventures o

Pixels Short To Be Made Into A Film

Pixels Short To Be Made Into A Film The much-buzzed-about short featuring 1980s video game characters attacking New York City, is heading for the big-screen. The French filmmaker behind “Pixels,” Patrick Jean, has teamed up with Adam Sandler’s production banner Happy Madison to develop a big-screen take. The team is in talks with Columbia, where Happy Madison has its first-look deal, to set up the project at the studio. The project is still in the early stages and no writer is on board but the plan is to make a “Ghostbusters”-style action comedy in which characters come out of a video game to wreak havoc in the real world. “Pixels,” abetted by a thumbs-up from filmmaker Edgar Wright, became a viral hit in April with its pixelated versions of Tetris, Space Invaders, Frogger, Pac-Man and others invading NYC first, then the world. Edgar Wright's Next Project An Ant-Man Film?

Edgar Wright's Next Project An Ant-Man Film? I am not sure if any of you out there have heard of this character. I am with you guys, I have heard of Ant-Man and seen it in a cartoon film once but that is pretty much it. But comic book properties are a huge thing now and everyone wants a piece of the pie. Marvel's president Kevin Feige gave us some updated  information on the Ant-Man project such as when the production will start moving forward. Edgar was in L.A. last week, we sat down, and we started working on a calendar of when to get him back into it once he finishes promoting ' Scott Pilgrim ,' so I think towards the end of this year, early next year we'd start looking at early prep for that, but certainly for a release date after The Avengers. Here is the Ant-Man origin story: Early Life: Scott Lang was born in Coral Gables, Florida. He turned to burglary when his occupation as an electronics expert failed to support his family. Apprehended, he served

Scott Pilgrim Vs The World First Images Of The Film

Scott Pilgrim Vs The World First Images Of The Film We’ve been banging on about Scott Pilgrim Vs The World for ages, and now that the first official stills from Edgar Wright’s slacker action – or, if you will, ‘slacktion’ – comedy has surfaced online, we’re going to sit back, fold our arms, smile smugly and say, ‘Told you so.’ For anyone who thinks that Wright’s adaptation of the excellent Bryan Lee O’Malley graphic novels is going to be an exercise in navel-gazing might be surprised to see this stunning action shot of Michael Cera, as the eponymous hero, taking on two evil goons with a flaming sword. A flaming sword. Not a lightsaber, mind. An actual flaming sword, because Scott Pilgrim Vs The World will feature tons of insane action scenes as Scott faces off against the seven evil exes of his new lover, Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), while simultaneously grappling with big issues: life, love, and the burgeoning career of his band, Sex Bob-Omb.
