Looking to keep The Amazing Spider-Man in our festively blurred noggins over this quiet period between Christmas and New Year, Sony has shoved out a few new pictures from the film on to the web. Focusing mostly on Peter Parker ( Andrew Garfield )’s early days as the web-shooting hero, the new images feature him discovering his new found powers and going a little bit Teen Wolf on the high school basketball court. There is also a nice, close look at the mechanical web system he’ll be using, a switch back to the character’s roots before more recent comic runs – and Sam Raimi’s cinematic version – had them as organic developments. It has been speculated so much that we just take it as fact at this point. But there has not been a solid confirmation that The Lizard is the main villain of The Amazing Spider-Man until right this very second. Actor C. Thomas Howell recently appeared on The Retroradio, and he confirmed that the Lizard will battle Peter Parker, and that his character's son is involved in the choas. Here is what C. We got our hands on some up-closes photos From the upcoming Spider-Man Reboot . Let's remember that this suit was built for doing stunts and not the actual suit that Andrew Garfield will be wearing in the film. So what do you guys think? You can see that he will be having  mechanical web-shooters, the new franchise could be planning a major reboot of the character's history, as longtime fans know that Peter Parker's web-shooting ability originally stemmed from a pair of mechanical bracelet-like contraptions that he wore under his gloves. I'm pretty sure that's just part of the stunt costume, not the final look (the same might be said of the "sneakers," too — though we'll have to wait for more official imagery to be sure). Thanks to MTV's crack staff that did all this hard work to find 5 key changes in the new Spider-Man costume. The first image of Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man was released yesterday , and the online world is buzzing about what it could mean for the upcoming reboot of the blockbuster film franchise. While there are certainly a lot of questions to be asked about Peter Parker's bloodied and bruised condition in the photo, the image also reveals some interesting changes made to Spider-Man's iconic costume. The lean and lanky Garfield casts a very different shadow as Spidey than the franchise's former star, Tobey Maguire, and given what we can tell from the photo, the familiar red-and-blue costume seems to have undergone a reboot of sorts, too. After staring intently at the photo without blinking for the last few hours, I've come up with five notable changes in Spider-Man's costume gleaned from the new image.
