Official Poster For #Interstellar Has Landed

The image on this new poster for Christopher Nolan's Interstellar may look a little familiar from our last story, but The Dark Knight director liked the image he selected for Empire so much that he has also made it the official US one-sheet for the film. As ever with this particular director, he's not giving much away. We can tell, from that strange folded-over landscape, that Matthew McConaughey's Cooper ain't in Kansas anymore, as we glimpsed in the trailer. But beyond that the film is keeping its secrets close. What we do know is that Cooper and his team are sent from a dying Earth to find a new home for humanity, and we're guessing this is one of the possibilities they inspect. The film also stars Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Topher Grace, Casey Affleck, Wes Bentley, Michael Caine and John Lithgow . Interstellar . The new issue of Empire arrives on newsstands on September 25, and with subscribers around the same time. We will be unveiling the news

New Interstellar Trailer Straight From Comic-Con

Christopher Nolan made a surprise appearance at the Paramount Comic-Con panel this past weekend, introduced by his Interstellar star Matthew McConaughey . He didn’t reveal much about the movie to absolutely no one’s surprise, but he did show off the new trailer for the film, footage that has now arrived online courtesy of the film’s sparkly official site. Watch the trailer after the Jump... Interstellar is set in a time when Earth has severely depleted its resources, particularly food. McConaughey’s Cooper is a trained pilot, technician and engineer, but there’s not much call for those in a world where the basics are in such short supply. But a visionary ( Michael Caine ) has had an idea to send a brave crew beyond the solar system through a recently discovered wormhole to find something – or somewhere – that could be our salvation. The new trailer offers a little more footage – particularly some fresh looks at McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and more out in space. And the per

Full Trailer For #Interstellar Has Arrived

Christopher Nolan's latest secrecy-fest, sci-fi Interstellar , has just become a tiny bit less obscure with the debut of the film's first full trailer. At the very least, we learn more about Matthew McConaughey's lead, Cooper, and then we get to tour some extensive cornfields. Cooper is, we learn, "an educated man, a trained pilot and an engineer", but his technical skills are more or less irrelevant in a world that's running low on food. Thank goodness, then, for Michael Caine's visionary, who has a plan to save the world by buggering off somewhere else - and he needs Cooper to make the trip. With two young children at home, it's not an easy decision, but soon Cooper's off amid the stars as the weather worsens back home. At least, we think that's what's happening, so please stop making jokes about Signs and comparing it to Looper. This trailer hasn't shed vast amounts of light on the story so let's hope they're holdin

Interstellar Teaser Trailer Has Arrived

The Interstellar teaser trailer has now landed online, and here it is. Feast your eyes on a few tantalising clips from Christopher Nolan's new film below, and try to figure out which are clues to the plot and which are just establishing the mood.. Featuring only a few seconds of actual movie footage (showing an intense, teary Matthew McConaughey driving through cornfields), this is a teaser in the truest sense; more of a mood-piece, if you like, or the long-game set up. McConaughey’s newsreel monologue is a voice from the future, a damaged world where NASA is a memory, and it both celebrates the urges to explore and innovate, and laments their demise. That gives the final shot of an ascending rocket real impact and a powerful sense of anticipation and pure optimism — complemented no end by what sounds to be another pulse-raising Hans Zimmer score. If nothing else, this first glimpse at the new Nolan glows with the promise of a truly epic journey to come. Interstellar al

Star Wars: Rebels Gets It's Cast

While most eyes have been on the casting of Star Wars: Episode VII , another franchise player set in the galaxy far, far away has been quietly operating under the radar. Star Wars: Rebels is the CGI-animated series being made by Lucasfilm Animation that will air on Disney XD. THR/HeatVision has learned that David Oyelowo, Freddie Prinze Jr., Vanessa Marshall, Taylor Gray and Steven Jay Blum are in the process of being cast as the voice leads for the series, which will make its debut in fall 2014. Little is known about the series other than it is set during the time period between the two trilogies, as the Empire expanded its reach and Luke Skywalker was growing up on Tatooine. Simon Kinberg (X-Men: First Class), Dave Filoni, who worked on the previous Star Wars animated series Clone Wars, and Greg Weisman (Young Justice) are executive producing. Oyelowo is currently starring as Forest Whitaker's son in Lee Daniel's surprise $100 million hit The Butler and is sho
