Ghost Rider 2: Spirt Of Vengeance Update

GHOST RIDER 2: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE Update. As you can tell by looking over his resume, De Luca has produced over 50 films and he’s got tons of projects in development. While I’ll be posting updates on Metal Gear Solid, Butter, Fright Night, Dracula Year Zero and tons of other things in the coming days, tonight is all about Ghost Rider 2. For those who don’t know, the sequel to Ghost Rider is moving ahead full steam with a script by David Goyer. According to De Luca, “We have an outline that David wrote that kind of adapts his 2001 script into today’s times with incorporating kind of an original idea of Nic’s.” We talked about whether or not Mark Steven Johnson will be back directing and if Eva Mendes would return as Roxanne Simpson. Oh, and he told me the tentative title is Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. So much more after the jump: Here’s the thing, if you’re a fan of Ghost Rider, the interview you’re about to read should make you extremely excited for a sequel. Everything De L

ABC Puts "Flash Forward." Hiatus

ABC Puts "Flash Forward." Hiatus ABC has pushed the Pause button on "Flash Forward." The network has stopped production on the freshman drama series for this week. The six-day hiatus had been built into the show's schedule, a rep for the network said. "They want to maintain the high quality of the show, and this gives the writers the opportunity to do so," the rep said. The hiatus comes on the heels of "Flash Forward" hitting a series low last Thursday. Additionally, co-showrunner/executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently left the heavily serialized sci-fi series, with co-creator/exec producer David Goyer stepping in as sole showrunner. "Flash Forward" is the second freshman series to go on a non-holiday hiatus in the past week. Comedy "Cougar Town" was shut down so star Courteney Cox can deal with personal issues. Ghost Rider 2 Going To Be A Sequel

Ghost Rider 2 Going To Be A Sequel Not A Reboot David Goyer ("Batman Begins") is toning down a script he wrote for a friendlier PG rating tone. Goyer tells MTV News: "It's not exactly a reboot," said Goyer, who's currently hard at work on his "FlashForward" television series. "I hate to say it's more realistic, because he's got a flaming skull for a head, but it's a bit more stripped down and darker. It's definitely changing tone. What 'Casino Royale' was to the Bond movies, hopefully this will be to 'Ghost Rider.'" The "Ghost Rider" sequel is planned to "roll before cameras next year," according to Goyer, who also said that Nicolas Cage is currently still attached to the lead role of Johnny Blaze. "This story picks up eight years after the first film," said Goyer. "You don't have to have seen the first film. It doesn't contradict anything that happened in the firs

"The Flash" Movie In Trouble?

"The Flash" Movie In Trouble? I would really hope that they get this movie done soon. I am a huge fan of the Comic books and The TV show Flash. I know I was one of the few to watch the TV show , It was pretty cool for its time. But I would really like to see it on the big screen sometime soon. Here is what IGN has got out of the The Dark Knight producer Charles Roven whose attachment to a feature version of The Flash appears to be on the ropes. "I was involved at one point with The Flash," said Roven. "And Warner Bros. came to me and said, 'The work that you've been doing hasn't yet resulted in something that any of us, including the filmmaking team, feel could be greenlit as a movie. We're trying to accomplish something that takes into account the entire, rich DC character world, and we'd like to pull it back. That doesn't mean that you aren't going to be a part of it. We just want to take a different kind of approach. Do you mind

David Goyer Is Going To Take On Ghost Rider Sequel

David Goyer Is Going To Take On Ghost Rider Alright, now I'm seeing a trend in superhero sequels. Batman got better, The Hulk got alot better, now this... Let's cross our finger. Columbia Pictures has begun to rev the throttle on a second installment of the Marvel Comics character “ Ghost Rider .” David Goyer is in early talks to create the story and supervise writers for a film expected to once again star Nicolas Cage , who played the highly flammable cyclist in the 2007 original. Through a spokesperson, Goyer said he hadn’t signed on yet. But plans are already under way to base the sequel on a “Ghost Rider” script written years ago by Goyer, whose superhero work includes hit screen transfers of DC’s “Batman Begins” and Marvel’s “Blade” franchise. The original “Ghost Rider” was scripted by director Mark Steven Johnson. The activity on “Ghost Rider” follows a flurry of activity on Marvel characters at almost every studio but Disney, which acquired Marvel Entertainment in a $4
