BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Fox in Talks to Reboot The X-Files

The Reboot is Out There In what has seemed like an inevitability for some time now, plans have begun at 20th Century Fox to launch a reboot of its iconic ‘90s megahit The X-Files . According to Deadline , Fox TV Group chairman Gary Newman has confirmed that talks have taken place to bring the sci-fi series back to the airwaves, and that he was “hopeful” about the prospect of it happening. Series creator Chris Carter alluded to the possibility of a reboot last summer, though his level of involvement in the new series has yet to be determined. Also unclear is how much of a role, if any, original series stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson might have. One suspects the network will want a new, younger crop of FBI agents investigating phenomena. The X-Files aired on Fox from 1993-2002 and was among the defining television series of the Clinton era, garnering huge ratings and spawning two feature films. "X-Files" Chris Carter Bringing "Unique" To The Small Screen

X-Files creator Chris Carter is heading back to the small screen. After several years away from Hollywood despite heavy demand, Carter has reemerged with a female-lead mystery police thriller titled Unique . The project, which is set up at Media Rights Capital, has a supernatural element to it. He is set to write and executive produce. Carter spent nearly a decade at the helm of the David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson vehicle, which ran from 1993 to 2002. The series not only helped put host network Fox on the map but also define it as a destination for edgy, quality fare. In addition to a rich ancillary revenue that came from DVD and merchandise, the franchise spawned two feature films, 1998's The X Files and 2008' The X Files: I Want to Believe . Last month, Anderson told an Australian morning show that there's talk of a third X-Files feature. "I hope it happens," she said. "There's talk of it." Please Leave A Comment- Source- THR

Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter Is Dead Remake

Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter Is Dead Remake Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter is Dead to the pile of 80s remakes now in development. This film brings back some good memories from my childhood, but a remake I am not sure I would really care to see it. I mean if you look back at it now, it was a bad movie. That could be the reason its a great movie to watch at midnight on a Wednesday on TNT. Mark Gordon, via his The Mark Gordon Company, is producing the remake. Development just began on the film, and it’s now out to writers. For the unfamiliar, Don’t Tell Mom was kind of a rip-off of Home Alone, only instead of leaving one child behind for a weekend, the parents here left their three children behind for the summer. With an elderly babysitter. Who died. The oldest teenage daughter (Christina Applegate) — in order to maintain her summer of freedom — thus decided to lie her way into an executive position with a fashion designer. Awesomeness ensues.
