 Event will benefit St. Mary’s Dining Hall and United Way of Stockton

. StocktonCon returns to the Stockton Arena on August 9-10 . The pop culture convention and fund-raising event has expanded to two days this year, after a crowd of over 7,500 filled up the Arena on August 4, 2013. Ticket prices for the two-day event are $15 for a two-day pass and $10 each day if purchased separately in advance. At the door, the price will be $12 for each day, or $20 for both days. Tickets are currently available at the Stockton Arena Box Office, over 20 locations around Northern California and http://ticketmaster.com . The show will run from 10am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday. Proceeds from the event will benefit St. Mary’s Dining Room and United Way.

A sneak peek at Kiefer Sutherland's upcoming midseason drama, Touch , has surfaced. The Fox series, from Heroes creator Tim Kring , revolves around a single father ( Sutherland ), whose mute 11-year-old son communicates through numbers. The project was picked up late last month for 13 episodes and reunites the former 24 star with Fox. The network will launch the drama in the spring. Danny Glover has been cast in Touch , Fox’s likely midseason drama starring Kiefer Sutherland , sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter . From Heroes creator Tim Kring , the drama pilot revolves around a father ( Sutherland ) and his autistic and mute son ( David Mazouz ) who can predict events before they happen. As first reported by TV Line, Glover will play Arthur DeWitt , a professor who works with gifted children. The drama marks Kring’s first series since Heroes and Sutherland’s first since 24 . Production on Touch will begin soon now that Sutherland has completed his run on Broadway in the revival of Jason Miller’s That Championship Season. Those are some of the few high-profile titles now getting a new lease on life at Warner Bros. due to the year-end departure of longtime studio executive Jessica Goodman. During her 13-year tenure, the executive vp oversaw such projects as Watchmen, Training Day and the upcoming Green Lantern. Since her departure, the studio’s top brass has reassigned her portfolio among several other execs. In the file were long-in-development remakes of The Dirty Dozen and Oh, God, as well as Tarzan -- titles that have been active in recent years but haven’t come together with the right talent to score the elusive green light.
