Yes the Harry Potter franchise is coming to an end on July 15th but do not fear my fellow Harry Potter fans via comingsoon J.K. Rowling announced Pottermore today which builds on the reader experience. Here is Rowling's video announcement and the press release, followed by images of the site. From 23rd June, fans can submit their email addresses to Pottermore.com in order to be contacted by the site following the opening of registration on 31st July, Harry Potter's birthday. On 31st July, an online challenge will be launched on Pottermore.com . 1 million of those successfully completing it will be granted early access to the Beta version of the website, enabling them to help put finishing touches before it opens to all in October 2011. The Woman In Black teaser trailer has showed up online today. The Woman in Black is a supernatural thriller film based on Susan Hill's novel The Woman in Black . It is a remake of the 1989 film of the same name and will star Daniel Radcliffe as lawyer Arthur Kipps. The story follows a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps ( Radcliffe ), who is ordered to travel to a remote village and sort out a recently deceased client’s papers. As he works alone in the client’s isolated house, Kipps begins to uncover tragic secrets, his unease growing when he glimpses a mysterious woman dressed only in black. Warner Bros will open its “ The Making of Harry Potter ” walking tour at Leavesden, England, the production base of the Harry Potter films , in spring next year. The three-hour-long tour will give fans the chance to see sets, costumes, props and effects used in all 8 Harry Potter movies. Tickets go on sale later this year. Potter fans will be able to walk onto sets including headmaster Dumbledore’s office and the 120ft long Great Hall featuring “the tables and benches used in the films”. The studio tour, first announced last November, is part of Warner Bros’ $161M refit of Leavesden, which is set to be one of the largest studio production facilities in Europe when it opens. Warner Bros plans to use the 250,000 sq ft of soundstages to shoot its blockbusters. The studio won’t be ready for Chris Nolan shooting The Dark Knight Rises this year though. Leavesden will also boast the largest back-lot in Europe. Around 1,500 people are employed at Leavesden when production is in full swin

The 1970-set tale follows a young man who discovers his artistic calling after being drafted by the denizens of a sleepy little New England mill town to serve as photographer of their most intimate moments. He battles local authorities while bringing a bit of a velvet revolution to the community. Ted Hope and Anne Carey will produce through their This Is That Prods. banner, while Karen Montgomery will also produce. In a new interview with Cine Premiere Mexico, Andrew Ackland-Snow, the art director for the Harry Potter series, divulged new information which states that (with the approval of J.K. Rowling ) the death of Severus Snape has changed. "We wanted to change a bit where Snape dies. In the book, he dies on the Shrieking Shack, and we wanted to get him out from, not a conventional interior, but from that kind of box, to do it in a more dramatic atmosphere. We asked J.K. if she agreed for that to happen in there, because we hadn't really seen it before. We made a crystal house, and you can see what happens in the boat house from there - Are you listening Harry? -, but also the school is in flames...and she loved it. "The last movie is going to be really, really fast-paced and a load of action in it, and it is like a war film," Radcliffe told Reuters. "If we had done this book in one film, the stuff that would have got cut is most of this film." However, it's Part 1 that the actor finds more appealing because it contains the most character development. Part 1, Radcliffe added, is "so sedate compared to what the next one is going to be like. The next film, because you've had all the plot set up already, you can just kind of enjoy the insanity of all the action."
