We are looking to follow in the tradition of JAWS and ODDJOB in finding an iconic baddy. “Hinx (Male, 30 – 45)” “Ideally over 6? 2?. Hinx is the main henchman/assassin. #LeaSeydoux Cast In Upcoming Bond Film. “Femme Fatale”.

Though no official confirmation has arrived from Team EON yet – they tend to wait until just before filming kicks off for such things – Baz Bamigboye is reporting that Lea Seydoux has been cast in the new Bond film in a role described as a “ femme fatale ”. Already returning core elements Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris , ready for a script read-through next month. And with filming reportedly set to start in six weeks, expect more casting details to start arriving soon. Very little else is known about the film so far, beyond the fact that Sam Mendes is back to direct (with Hoyte van Hoytema stepping in to replace Roger Deakins as cinematographer) and veteran 007 writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade have reportedly been at work polishing the script from Skyfall’s John Logan. Sets are reportedly under construction in Austria, which offers a clue as to one location Bond will be headed, but beyond that, information is locked up in a vault in MI6. Bond 24

Bond 24 Delayed Due to Script Rewrites

The fourth Daniel Craig outing will add more Bond repartee. Ever since news broke in November that MGM had acquired both SPECTRE and the villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld , fans of the James Bond franchise had breathed a sigh of relief. The biggest news since perhaps the signing of Pierce Brosnan to revive the franchise back in 1994, the acquisition of SPECTRE would now allow MGM to pursue a story arc pitting Bond against the evil think tank of villains which included Blofeld at its head. From all indications, the upcoming Bond 24 was in good shape: the script was complete and 12 Years a Slave star Chiwetel Ejiofor had supposed been offered the role of the film's villain . So, it comes as a bit of surprise that The Daily Mail is reporting that some script changes are in the works. Writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade - responsible for five previous Bond films - have been brought on to "polish and punch-up" John Logan's original script. According to the article

Chiwetel Ejiofor Up For Bond Villain Role

After scoring big with Javier Bardem as its last Bond villain, MGM and Sony may be targeting another Oscar-nominated actor to play 007′s nemesis in the next James Bond pic. Sources tell Variety that Chiwetel Ejiofor is the top choice to play the villain in the next installment in the Bond series. No offer has been made yet, and scheduling would still have to be worked out, but sources insist he is the front-runner for the job. The studio had no comment. Daniel Craig is already set to return as Bond, with Ralph Fiennes , Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris set to return as well. “Skyfall” helmer Sam Mendes will again direct. Plot details are unknown at this point. Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson will produce, with John Logan penning the script. The plan is start production in the summer in order to meet the pic’s release date of Nov. 6, 2015. Casting has been heating up, with the studio also on the lookout for one Scandinavian and one British woman to play the new Bon

MGM's Purchase Of Two Important Bond Characters Is Big News For The Franchise.

Here's why a 50-year lawsuit settled this week is important news for James Bond fans. By: MattInRC In Hollywood as in life, all things come around. For fans of James Bond , that time is now. On Friday, we learned that MGM had finally bought the rights to two key Bond baddies: Ernst Stavro Blofeld and SPECTRE , ending a nearly 50-year lawsuit between MGM and creator Kevin McClory . In 1958, he was the man who came up with the shadowy S pecial Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge, and Extortion organization , which was first featured in 1962's Dr. No . Its bald dictator arrived in 1963's From Russia With Love , with Blofeld later portrayed by the likes of D onald Pleasence and Max von Sydow . It was McClory , not Ian Fleming , who came up with these characters, giving Actor Sean Connery and others a first class antagonist to battle through several films. This left an indelible impression on moviegoers and filmmakers: from Darth Vader to the campy D

SKYFALL Review. Best Bond Movie

SKYFALL Review By: MattInRC Skyfall is richly crafted and engrossing, with an ending that solidifies its status among the best Bond movies ever. For those of us who've enjoyed James Bond over the years, there's been one issue haunting his gadget/girls hustler persona - is there a genuine person under those fancy suits and behind the wheel of his Aston Martin? Die Another Day sought to answer that by taking him off the grid, only to leave us with a great first act and an over-the-top third. And while origin tales such as Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace have entertained, our nagging question remained. Skyfall responds by delving deeper into the mythos, blending great storytelling, beautiful women, and an instantly classic bad guy into one of the best Bond movies ever. After a botched MI6 operation in Istanbul over a stolen hard drive containing a NOC list of agents and an ensuing motorcycle chase across the city, James Bond ( Daniel Craig , Layer Cake) fi

James Bond Franchise Almost Died

On April 19, 2010, James Bond effectively died. After almost a year and a half of trying to get a new 007 film made while its parent studio, MGM , was spiraling toward bankruptcy, producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson finally pulled the plug. That's when the London-based half-siblings issued a statement: "Due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio, we have suspended development of Bond 23 indefinitely. We do not know when development will resume." Today, the 23rd James Bond film, Skyfall , has opened to record numbers at the European box office and is drawing rave reviews from critics. It earned $287 million in its first 10 days, boding well for the picture's Nov. 9 debut in the U.S. Its success will add significantly not only to the franchise's value (which some estimate as high as $1.2 billion), but also to that of MGM, which co-owns Bond with Broccoli and Wilson and is expect

Skyfall Clip. How Cool Is Bond?

James Bond : Secret agent, ladies' man, construction worker. Wait, a blue-collar turn for the black tie 007? Not exactly, but he does prove that he can operate a crane to devastating impact in this first clip from the upcoming 23rd Bond film, Skyfall . We've seen plenty of action on forward-chugging trains before (it's pretty much where film got its start), but rare is it that a guy busts open the back of one with a massive construction vehicle. And looks so darn cool and collected while doing so. But that's Bond: a special character, who on Friday celebrates his 50th anniversary of being on screen. Watch the clip after the Jump... While Daniel Craig stars in this Bond film -- his third -- it all started with Sean Connery in Dr. No, one of a flurry of 007 flicks to come out in the early '60s. The franchise has been counting down to this special occassion all summer and fall, and to honor the birth of the world's most cunning (and shape-shiftin

007 Legends Is On It's Way

UPDATE: After a protracted drip-feed of information from Activision's Q-branch (well, its Facebook page ), all six of the Bond movies combining to form the greatest-hits 007 Legends game have now been revealed. They are Skyfall (unsurprisingly, since this is in many ways the game-of-the-film), Die Another Day (presumably because it's the only Brosnan Bond that hasn't already had a console game), Licence To Kill, Moonraker, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and Goldfinger . One for each Bond then, although as with last year's Goldeneye: Reloaded , all will be replaced with the likeness of Mr Daniel Craig. It's out for most gaming platforms on October 19. Following the Quantum Of Solac e tie-in and the stand-alone Blood Stone, Activision have announced that their next videogame outing for Daniel Craig's James Bond will be 007 Legends . Surprisingly, rather than concentrating solely on Skyfall, the game will "revisit six classic Bond films", linki

New Action Packed Images From SKYFALL

Empire got their hands on Exclusive new images from the film SKYFALL , starring  Daniel Craig and  Javier Bardem. As the mammoth, six-month production moves into its final few weeks, the producers of Skyfall decided it was time for some show and (to a much lesser extent) tell. For the past two days, the doors of Pinewood have been opened (well, moved slightly ajar) to the world’s press. Including a weirdly convincing fibreglass tube train, a partially flooded subterranean tunnel and a platform of Temple Station, all constructed on the gargantuan 007 Stage — then were also treated to a small but impressive explosion, during a scene in which Bond ( Daniel Craig ) desperately pursues this movie’s big bad, Silva ( Javier Bardem ). Meet The Bond Girls From Skyfall

If these two clips are anything to go by, we have two contrasting Bond girls in Skyfall, the new James Bond film. On one hand, we have Bérénice Marlohe's probably-evil glamourpuss; on the other, Naomie Harris' tough and tenacious-looking field agent who at least appears to be on the side of the angels. Check out these two new videoblogs to see what we mean. First of all, there's Marlohe's video, which seems distinctly the more groomed of the two; literally, since we see Marlohe being primped for the camera. She talks about the strength and darkness inherent in a Bond girl - and if that isn't code for "Don't trust me!", we don't know what is. Then there's Naomie Harris, pictured during weapons training (seems like) and looking much more ready to get her hands dirty. She's playing a field agent, and was much readier to talk about going toe-to-toe with 007 himself. Please Leave A Comment- Source- 007.com / Via Empire

007-Skyfall Video Blog

Following Peter Jackson's fine Hobbit examples, Sam Mendes has opted to post occasional video blogs as Skyfall comes together. The first of them has just arrived at official site 007.com Except blogging isn't quite what's going on here: rather than Jackson's method of presenting to-camera, this actually seems to be footage of a Mendes interview, very possibly being put together for a DVD documentary. The director talks about his personal connection to James Bond, his love of the films growing up and how impressed he was with Casino Royale, and with Daniel Craig's Bond in particular. He points out that, despite being a British director, Skyfall is his first British movie, since the previous half dozen have all been shot on American soil. Critically, there's practically no Skyfall footage in the brief ninety-second clip, although there's a glimpse of Craig creeping around with his Walther, as already seen in the still released a few weeks ago. The Girl Who Played With Fire Film Is Going To Happen

According to Sony, the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo sequel, The Girl Who Played With Fire , is still moving forward despite the lingering perception that Dragon Tattoo has underperformed. “[Dragon Tattoo] continues to do strong business and nothing has changed with respect to development of the next book,” a Sony rep tells EW . In November, Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal told us that The Girl Who Played With Fire was definitely a go, with a targeted late-2013 release date. But Dragon Tattoo, which has grossed $60 million in the U.S. since its release on Dec. 20, is being perceived as something of a box-office disappointment (although moviegoers are enthusiastic — it received an A from audience-survey firm CinemaScore — and it seems to be holding up well over time as it chugs toward the $100 million mark). Given the film’s merely decent performance, there’s been much speculation about whether Sony will now actually move forward with the sequel. But the Sony rep tells us th
