BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Spike Lee Explains Why He Has Been Away From Hollywood

Spike Lee is not feeling the love from Hollywood’s money men. “I haven’t made a feature film in three years,”  Lee has lately focused on documentary work with two films about post-Katrina New Orleans for HBO. But he had designs on biopics about Jackie Robinson – the Brooklyn Dodgers slugger who broke baseball’s color line – and soul icon James Brown . And he was in discussions a while back for a sequel to thriller Inside Man , which starred Denzel Washington, Clive Owen and Jodie Foster . But he's been unable to secure financing. “ Inside Man was my most successful film,” he said, adding that he had Washington and Foster on board for the sequel. “But we can’t get the sequel made. And one thing Hollywood does well is sequels. The film’s not getting made. We tired many times. It’s not going to happen.” Lee’s comments came during a free-wheeling Q&A session with public television’s Charlie Rose at PromaxBDA, the annual marketing, branding and design conference here. Lee

Robert Rodriguez Talks Sin City 2

Robert Rodriguez Talks Sin City 2 Here is what we learn from the interviews: When asked about the timetable: Yeah, we still talk about doing that as early as later next year. I haven't gotten to that yet. When asked about the chances of the film actually happening Rodriguez can't say no, because he doesn't know if the answer is no. I can't say no, because I don't know it's no. I know Frank wants to do it. I know I want to do it. It's always sort of a 'time permitting' kind of thing. But it's not like I can tell you definitely we're starting . It's not my next picture, I know that. It doesn't mean that it's not the picture right after 'cause that's still a possibility. He goes on to say that the script for the film has been around since 2007 and when asked if he is happy with it he says: Well, it's one Frank wrote and we have to look at it now and go, "Is this really the one?" I think it's built

Do You "Trust" Clive Owen

Do You "Trust" Clive Owen I sure would, look at his resume Closer , King Arthur , Sin City , Inside Man I could go on and on. I have really enjoyed the movies that he has Starred in. And I am looking forward to more news on this film. Really seems weird to hear David Schwimmer is directing, this is the guy who played " Ross " on Friends. But hey what the hell. His first film wasn't half bad. Any film starring Clive Owen sounds like something I would spend my money on. Clive Owen and Catherine Keener are starring in "Trust," a drama David Schwimmer is directing for Millennium Films. Schwimmer , making his second foray into directing, came up with the story and is producing with his Dark Harbor Stories partner Tom Hodges. Andy Bellin wrote the script. Schwimmer's first film was the Simon Pegg - toplined comedy " Run Fatboy Run " "Trust" tells the story of a family blindsided when their teenage daughter becomes a victim of
