Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim has found its leading man. Charlie Hunnam , the British actor who is one of the stars of FX’s Sons of Anarchy , is in negotiations to be the human lead in Legendary Pictures’ monster movie. Pacific Rim , as the project is known, is the movie del Toro decided to focus on when his long-gestating adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft’s At the Mountains of Madness fell apart over budgetary issues and rating. Rim is a monster movie that sees powerful extraterrestrial aliens threaten the Earth's existence, attacking cities and nations neighboring the Pacific Ocean. To meet the threat head-on, humanity develops giant robots to fight them off. The movie is influenced by mecha, the Japanese genre involving humans piloting robotic constructs. The details of the role is being kept secret although online details describe the character as a pilot of one of the mechas that needs to climb back into the driver’s chair. Sons Of Anarchy Season 3 Trailer According to series creator Kurt Sutter, FX will be picking up season three of Sons of Anarchy, and season three will deal with SAMCRO's roots.The third season is slated to premiere in September 2010.  Additionally, Sutter wants to "take [the Sons] into a world that is outside their own, where they don't have control, where they are subject to other people's laws and beliefs and parameters, Where they aren't quite the big fish in the small pond." Dracula Film"Vlad" Has Found It's Screenwriter As we reported back in December that Actor Charlie Hunnam Wrote a script titled "Vlad" which would be produced by Summit, here is some more news to come out about the film. And some help it will be getting. Scott Kosar has been brought on to work on the screenplay for Summit Entertainment's "Vlad." Actor Charlie Hunnam ("Sons of Anarchy") wrote the original script, which takes an action-oriented look at Dracula, or Vlad the Impaler, as a young prince. Music video director and photographer Anthony Mandler recently came aboard to direct the project and will shepherd Kosar's work on the screenplay. Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner are producing through their Plan B shingle. Summit president of production Erik Feig and vp production Meredith Milton are overseeing the project. This one already comes with its own heartthrob in the form of Brad Pitt. The company has picked up "Vlad," a script by actor Charlie Hunnam ( Sons of Anarchy) and is in negotiations with music video and photographer Anthony Mandler to direct the project. Pitt is producing, not acting, with Dede Gardner via the duo's Plan B Entertainment production shingle.
