Luc Besson already has Dane DeHaan and the Pokemon-loving Cara Delevingne aboard for his ambitious new sci-fi epic Valerian. With those two in place, he’s adding to the roster, with Clive Owen signing on to play a character called Commander Arün Filitt. Originally created by writer Pierre Christian and artist Jean-Claude Mezieres in 1967, the series of graphic novels charts the adventures of the titular time-travelling agent ( DeHaan ) and his female sidekick, Laureline ( Delevingne ). As for how Filitt fits into the story? That’s left for us to guess at the moment. Being based in Sacramento you are automatically a Sacramento Kings fans and I don't mind that they have a had some pretty good runs in the past. The Sacramento Kings/Suicide Squad mashup trailer is pretty epic. And Rajon Rondo playing the Jokers role in the trailer was pretty cool to see. THR is reporting that Oscar-winning rapper-turned-actor Common has closed a deal to join the cast of Suicide Squad , Warner Bros.' all-star action movie featuring DC Entertainment super-villains. David Ayer is directing the feature, which already boasts actors Jared Leto as the Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Also in the lineup are Joel Kinnaman, Cara Delevingne, Viola David, Adam Beach, Ike Barinholtz, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Scott Eastwood . There will also possibly be cameos of Jesse Eisenberg who plays Lex Luthor and Ben Affleck as Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, who are rumored to appear as Warners builds its own cinematic universe. The story tells of imprisoned villains recruited by a government agency to perform covert operations. Details for Common’s role have not been revealed. Warners had no comment on the deal. Will Smith, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto are officially set to star in Suicide Squad , Warner Bros. announced Tuesday. Also cast in the movie based on the DC Entertainment villains-forced-to-be-heroes are Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne . Much of the castings have been previously reported but the studio also confirmed which characters the actors will play. Smith will play Deadshot , best known as a Batman villain, while Hardy the group’s leader, Rick Flagg . Leto will take on the Joker while Robbie will play Harley Quinn , his on-and-off girlfriend. Courtney will be Boomerang while Delevingne , the model-turned-actress who is also in Warners' Pan tentpole, will play Enchantress , a sorceress.
