Disney-Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is heading to Comic-Con next month. Watch the video after the Jump... Director James Gunn revealed the news Thursday in a special video message for fans, coinciding with Chris Pratt wrapping his filming for the sequel. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens May 5, 2017. Gunn posted a four-minute video on his Facebook page, largely dedicated to him and Pratt thanking the cast and crew for their work. “Everyone here has busted their asses,” Pratt asserted. “This is going to be the greatest spectacle film of all time.” Pratt also praised Gunn for delivering the film on time — the shoot took 90 days — and under budget. Though it suffered very slightly from the same working-around-busy-schedules malaise that afflicted the fourth, Netflix-set series of Arrested Development, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day Of Camp was still a comedy delight and chronologically unsound story earlier this year. Now the streaming service has announced that another follow-up, called Ten Years Later , will hit our screens in 2017. So it's not a sequel to First Day Of Camp , but a follow-up to the 2001 film and still won't quite catch up with the chronological ages of the cast, but nobody cares about that because when you have the likes of Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Michael Showalter, David Wain and even (we bet he makes time again) Bradley Cooper , you quit thinking about that and just enjoy the absurdity. THR is reporting Max Landis has another script that is causing a stir. Deeper , a contained deep-sea thriller written by Landis, has Bradley Cooper attached to star and Kornel Mundruczo, the European helmer behind White God, attached to direct. While not on the level of the Bright bidding war, which saw the script’s price tag reach $4 million and the package being sold for $90 million, Deeper has numerous companies putting in bids.
