BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Justice League's “Tactical Batsuit” Revealed

Director Zack Snyder has revealed a new look at Batman's tactical Batsuit, the first time we've seen it on Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne. See more images after the Jump... Alfred and Bruce develop an advanced suit in the “final chapter” of this story to fit the needs of the mission. This suit isn’t going to be used in filming for another two months so we only got to see a very early prototype of it alongside concept art. Described as “the tactical Batsuit,” it looks very much like the classic Batsuit augmented with straps and layers of leather and protective plates. A new cowl allows for flight goggles which he’ll wear when piloting a new vehicle. The straps look more military grade. I don’t love it. The cowl offers more protection in this story. It’s been implied inside the cowl there is a whole sub-membrane that is now expressed outside the cowl. Also, Snyder has embraced non-symmetry, giving Batman extra protection on one arm over another, making the uniform lo

Joe Manganiello Will Play Deathstroke In Batman Solo Film

Last week, Ben Affleck took the unusual step of letting slip a teasing hint about the future of his stand-alone Batman film via Twitter, putting up a video of the villain Deathstroke , albeit one in his costume who didn't speak. Now we know who will be filling the suit in future appearances as The Wall Street Journal has learned that Magic Mike's Joe Manganiello (who had previously been rumored) has the role. DC Entertainment President and chief creative officer Geoff Johns let slip the casting information in an interview, though he refused to comment on whether Deathstroke will first show up in next year's Justice League before causing problems for Affleck's Bruce Wayne in the promised Batman outing. Created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, Deathstroke first appeared in Teen Titans #2 in 1980. Slade Wilson (as his family knows him) is an assassin and a mercenary, and while he's more often found in the Green Arrow's rogue's gallery – and has turned

Ben Affleck Teases Deathstroke As The Villain For His Solo Film

Ben Affleck is not necessarily the man you might expect to be posting tease-filled Twitter videos, but since he took up Batman's cowl, this has been part of his world. Affleck put up a video of one of DC's iconic baddies Deathstroke , and now The Wrap has learned that the lethal character will be the main antagonist in the actor/writer/director's planned stand-alone Batman movie. https://t.co/0NsNzCtGip — Ben Affleck (@BenAffleck) August 29, 2016 Created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, Deathstroke first appeared in Teen Titans #2 in 1980. Slade Wilson (as his family knows him) is an assassin and a mercenary, and while he's more often found in the Green Arrow's rogue's gallery – and has turned up on the DC TV series – he has crossed Batman's path several times. Their memorable first meeting was in a 1991 Deathstroke comic story arc titled City Of Assassins, where Deathstroke beat the Dark Knight to a pulp. There's no indication yet as to wheth

New Trailer For The Accountant Starring Ben Affleck

The new trailer for The Accountant , starring Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, Jeffrey Tambor, John Lithgow and directed by Gavin O’Connor. With the Treasury Department’s Crime Enforcement Division, run by Ray King (J.K. Simmons), starting to close in, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of-the-art robotics company where an accounting clerk (Anna Kendrick) has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian uncooks the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise. Please Leave A Comment-

Justice League Comic-Con Footage & Group Image

As Warner Bros. big DC movies panel rolled on, it was the turn of Zack Snyder and Justice League . And the first footage from that one has also arrived. Though the film is still shooting, Snyder brought a look – that can't quite be described as a trailer – at Ben Affleck' s Batman gathering the team he needs to battle evil. We see him recruit Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Ezra Miller's Barry Allen/The Flash in particular, though there are also shots of Ray Fisher as Victor Stone, AKA Cyborg on board. Oh, and of course Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, who is already willing and able to do battle. The take-away from this initial look? A definite humour boost (Ezra Miller will still need to prove himself after the debut of the TV Flash, but there's definite signs of some laughs to be found) and a fairly standard Aquaman joke. Snyder has something to prove after the dour Dawn Of Justice, so we'll have to wait and see. As if yet there's no sign of J.K. Simmons'

Affleck's Solo Batman Film Is Official

It's been pretty much agreed for a long time now that Ben Affleck would make a stand-alone Batman film in which he stars as the version of the Caped Crusader introduced in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice . Now Warner Bros. has made it officially official, announcing the film at its CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas. Talk of Affleck working on a Batman film has been going on for a while; at least since last year's San Diego Comic-Con, where reports surfaced that the actor/director was writing a version of the script with DC's Geoff Johns. What could the film cover? No one outside of the core creative team knows for now, though it could involve a match-up between Affleck's Batman and Jared Leto's Joker, or dig into someone else from the hero's sprawling rogue's gallery. And might we see something from before the time of Batman V Superman? It's all just speculation until the announcements start to happen, and we still don't know when the fi

#BatmanvSuperman Dawn of Justice Takes A Huge Hit

According to Variety “ Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ” is still the top contender at the box office, but its second weekend in theaters won’t be quite as victorious as its debut. Warner Bros. and DC’s clash of the superheroes is now tracking for a three-day total of $50 million, down from yesterday’s expected $58 million. “BvS” pulled in $15 million on Friday from 4,256 locations, and it’s expected to hit a cumulative domestic gross of $260 million by Sunday’s end. The first week of the movie took in $209.1 million in the U.S. — the 10th-highest first-week total of all time — with a $166 million opening weekend. Despite the negative reviews, audiences appear to have embraced the film, based both on box office turnout and on social media metrics. Fifty seven percent of the conversation on Twitter following the film’s debut has been positive, according to social media tracking service Fizziology. Less than 10 percent of the tweets about the film have been negative, with the r

Ben Affleck Is Contracted As Batman For The Justice League Movies Only

For the fans who found Ben Affleck 's Dark Knight to be the highlight of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice , some good news: Not only will he return for the Justice League movies, but there's the possibility of an additional Batman movie based on Affleck's own take on the character. "He's contracted to do at least Justice League One and Two, so at least three times wearing the cape," he says, adding, "There's a script that he's written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that's out there as an option." This isn't the first time the prospect of an Affleck-originated Batman movie has been raised. During San Diego Comic-Con last year, THR reported that the actor-director was developing a stand-alone Batman project with DC Entertainment chief creative officer Geoff Johns, with Affleck tentatively attached to direct as well as star. In addition to the movies Whitesell mentioned, Affleck's Batman also will make a cameo app

#BatmanVSuperman Cyborg's Lex Files Explained

The scene in question involves Bruce Wayne ( Ben Affleck ) and Diana Prince ( Gal Gadot ) hacking into the private database of Lex Luthor and discovering he is collecting information about other “metahumans,” like them — individuals with enhanced abilities who are operating below the radar of normal society. In other words, The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg are all out there in the world, but the world doesn’t know this yet. The data they find is like an archive of cyptozoology — the Lex Files , instead of the X-Files — only instead of found-footage and snapshots of flying saucers, the Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot, it contains surveillance video of The Flash stopping a convenience store robbery, Aquaman encountering some surprised deep-sea divers, and a nearly century-old still image of Wonder Woman looking the same today as she did during World War I. This file also contains the video diaries of Dr. Silas Stone (played by Joe Morton ), who is a scientist with S.

Movie Review: 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'

After a rough start, BVSDOJ serves up a powerful emotional punch. Review by Matt Cummings For a film that has gained so much attention since its year-long delay, expectations for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice couldn't be greater and perhaps more unrealistic. That's perhaps Warner Bros' fault for concocting a tale near the end - rather than at the beginning - of a universe with so much promise. And while the emotional punch of Act 3 is profound, some of the build up is clunky and its mythology doesn't have time to properly develop. It's been nearly two years since Superman (Henry Cavill) and General Zod (Michael Shannon) destroyed much of Metropolis, leaving many to ponder their role in a world where gods do exist. To some like Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) and even Batman (Ben Affleck), such forces represent a true evil that must be wiped out. But others aren't so sure, including a mysterious woman (Gal Gadot) and the reporter Lois Lane (Am

New Images From #BatmanvSuperman Dawn of Justice

From director Zack Snyder (“Man of Steel”) comes “ Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ,” starring Oscar winner Ben Affleck (“Argo”) as Batman/Bruce Wayne and Henry Cavill (“Man of Steel,” “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”) as Superman/Clark Kent in the characters’ first big-screen pairing. Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before. See all the images after the Jump...
