Avatar Will Cost 500 Million After All Is Said And Done

Avatar Will Cost 500 Million After All Is Said And Done When James Cameron makes a movie he goes big. "Titanic" is a great example. But he definitely makes his money back in the end and then some. Mr. Cameron’s “Titanic,” which took in more than $1.8 billion at the worldwide box office after its release in 1997, was a major corporate event for the News Corporation, then about a third the size of the current conglomerate, which has roughly $30 billion in annual sales. Less than a year after the release, the News Corporation raised nearly $3 billion in a public offering of shares in its filmed entertainment group, partly on the strength of “Titanic.” (It bought those shares back four years ago.) Will Avatar do the same? Movies looks great and I am looking forward to seeing the film when it comes out this year. Can a movie studio make money on a film based on an original and unfamiliar story, with no Hollywood superstars, a vanishing DVD market and a price tag approaching $500

New James Cameron Avatar Trailer Is Online

New James Cameron Avatar Trailer Is Online The new trailer has arrived and it looks amazing. We got our first look at the Avatar footage during Comic Con and it looked amazing. This new trailer looks like it does this film justice. The trailer shows more of the human side to the movie and the visual effects are just incredible. The colors are just so vibrant and the Na’vi characters look so alive. Just everything about this film looks great. The story’s protagonist, Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), is a former Marine who was wounded and paralyzed from the waist down in combat on Earth. Jake is selected to participate in the Avatar program, which will enable him to walk. Jake travels to Pandora, a lush jungle-covered extraterrestrial moon filled with incredible life forms, some beautiful, many terrifying. Pandora is also home to the Na’vi, a sentient humanoid race, who are considered primitive, yet are more physically capable than humans. Standing three meters tall (approximately 10 ft)

San Diego Comic Con Recap Part One

Here is part one recap of Comic Con 2009. What a Week. Starting it off was The Craze that is Know As Twilight New Moon. As you can see in this picture this was the line to get into Hall H. And the Twilight Panel was the Third panel that Morning. I would have to say that I was most excited to see the Tron panel. They really didn't say much about Tron last year during Comic Con except for a teaser trailer. Well this year we got a panel with the Cast and Director. More on the Tron panel Later. Then is was Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. I have never been a Huge fan of Tim Burton. But Dammit he sold me on this one. And as a surprise He brought out the one and only Johnny Depp at the very end of the panel. And the CROWD went Wild Like we all thought the Twilight Panel was CRAZY screaming women and young girls and a few guys. And when they introduced the cast HOLY SHIT. I needed ear Plugs. They Showed footage of the New Movie. Twilight New Moon, and of course they showed only sex

UPDATE:Twilight Panel Moved to Different time.

I guess Comic Con does listen to the fans. The Twilight New moon panel has been moved up in time. The reason behind this is to clear out Hall H with all the Twilight Fanatics. This is a good thing it will clear out A LOT of people that were there just sitting threw panels to get to Twilight. And free up seats for the next panel. They also moved the Panel for James Cameron's Avatar to 3pm. So this might be a bad thing if you don't like Twilight or yelling women. You'll have to sit threw this to see Avatar. Make sure you bring ear plugs. Thursday- 1:45-2:45 Summit Entertainment— Summit Entertainment presents a sneak peek of exclusive footage of some of its upcoming major film releases!
