Looks like Michael Bay is adding another Autobot from the sprawling roster of Robots In Disguise to Transformers: The Last Knight . And to be honest, it's one we thought he'd have included long before now: Hot Rod . As his description in the image above shows, Hot Rod will have his usual brash personality, and that he'll be supporting Bumblebee, which makes sense. We don't yet know what his vehicle form will be, but if we had to guess, we'd take a shot at some custom concept car. The Last Knight will bring together Age Of Extinction's Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg ) with previous film veterans Lennox ( Josh Duhamel ) and Epps ( Tyrese Gibson ) and new humans Isabela Moner, Jerrod Carmichael, Laura Haddock and Anthony Hopkins . As for the robots, we can expect Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Drift, Megatron, Barricade and Onslaught, plus newcomer Sqweeks (or Squeeks, depending on who you ask). Michael Bay continues his efforts to mix old and new faces for his latest Transformers film, The Last Knight . Taika Waititi , who co-wrote and co-directed the vampire spoof What We Do In the Shadows , is in negotiations to direct the third installment of Marvel’s Thor movies, titled Thor: Ragnarok . Chris Hemsworth is reprising his role of the Norse god of thunder. Waititi’s emergence as the choice caps off a round of intense meetings that took place over the last month. Ruben Fleischer, Rob Letterman and Rawson Marshall Thurber were the other directors that were finalists for the gig. Waititi is the latest head-scratcher from Marvel for their pick to direct a big-budget extravaganza, especially one steeped in the Norse mythology and an Apocalypse myth. THR is reporting that Sony sent a letter to Relativity stating its intention to terminate Relativity's deal for U.S. rights to The Bronze , according to sources. Relativity struck the $3 million pact with Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions after the comedy — written by and starring The Big Bang Theory actress Melissa Rauch — debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in January. Letters of termination are sent when a distributor has failed to satisfy, or "cure," various provisions of a contract. (A notice of termination would follow a cure letter).
