Magic Mike stars Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Joe Manganiello and Matthew McConaughey are all accounted for in the photo, with the latter apparently dressed as a shirtless Uncle Sam. The rest of the actors, all of whom play strippers in the movie, are only showing off their arms for now. Olivia Munn is negotiating to play the role of Amber, the love interest to Channing Tatum , who plays Magic Mike. She’ll join Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer and True Blood‘s Joe Mangianello . All of them play male strippers in the coming-of-age story that revolves around the relationship between a veteran dancer ( Tatum ) and his protege ( Pettyfer ). The film is based on experiences Tatum actually had when he was a teenager dancer. Cody Horn has joined the cast of Magic Mike , the male stripper drama based on the experiences of Channing Tatum , who also stars in the Steven Soderbergh-directed film. The actress, recently cast in the Jake Gyllenhaal-starring drama End of Watch , will play the sister of an up-and-coming male dancer played by Alex Pettyfer , whose character is based on Tatum. (He stripped for nearly a year when he was 18 to make ends meet.) Caruso ( Disturbia ) , produced by Michael Bay (You think Action throughout) and a cast that starred Alex Pettyfer, Timothy Olyphant, Teresa Palmer, Dianna Agron, Kevin Durand, and Callan McAuliffe . In another win for Liam Neeson and his adult fans, Warner Bros. and Dark Castle Entertainment's action-thriller Unknown scored a surprise victory in besting Alex Pettyfer teen sci-fi adventure I Am Number Four at the President's Day box office. But overall, the downturn at the domestic box office continued, with revenues off 30% from President's Day weekend last year (which fell a week earlier). Unknown opened to an estimated $21.8 million from 3,043 theaters through Sunday, according to Rentrak. It's on target to gross around $26 million for the four-day holiday weekend. A resounding 89% of the audience was over the age of 25 -- and 54% over the age of 50. Neeson scored a similar victory with Taken, distributed by Fox. Timothy Olyphant Replaces Sharlto Copley In " I Am Number Four" Sharlto Copley has dropped out of the DreamWorks pic "I Am Number Four" and has been replaced by "Justified" star Timothy Olyphant. Copley, who rose to the top of studio casting lists after starring in breakout hit "District 9," had to bow out of the D.J. Caruso-helmed film due to scheduling conflicts with his upcoming press obligations for Fox's "The A-Team." But is this the real reason?  Filmdrunk has found out some interesting information on why Copley was replaced.  Sharlto Copley wanted wear a prosthetic nose and fake ears like Spock and look like an alien in the movie, while director DJ Caruso was adamant that the aliens were supposed to look just like regular humans, hence why they’re able to fit in.
