Erica Durance Becomes Wonder Woman For A Day In Harry’s Law

Anyone who has longed to see Erica Durance channel the Wonder Woman are going to see their dream come true — albeit perhaps via the unlikeliest of circumstances. The Smallville alumna is set to guest-star on NBC’s Harry’s Law — which currently airs Wednesdays at 9/8c and was just picked up for a full second season — as a psychologically infirm woman who retreats into the persona of the DC Comics heroine to help wreak revenge on perpetrators of domestic abuse. Durance will appear in the legal dramedy’s 11th episode, which given NBC’s midseason schedule change-up does not at this moment have a firm air date. Ironically, this storytelling twist affords Harry’s Law creator David E. Kelley the chance anew to tap into the Wonder Woman mythos, after his pilot starring Adrianne Palicki as the Amazonian princess didn’t make the Peacock’s 2011-12 schedule. In fact, that coupled with the fact that Harry’s Law, like Wonder Woman, is a Warner Bros. property, raises the possibility t

Dwayne Johnson As Roadblock On The Set Of G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation

Dwayne Johnson has tweeted this picture from the set of   G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation,  photo of him as Roadblock . Not much is known yet from the plot of the film.  We do know that Adrianne Palicki, Ray Stevenson and RZA are among the recruits for the second film. Please Leave A Comment-

Bruce Willis May Enlist To Join The Cast Of G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation

Bruce Willis in talks to join the cast of Paramount’s G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation , with the veteran action actor marked to play the original Joe. Willis, if a deal comes together, would play General Joe Colton , the man who in 1980s comic books starts the G.I. Joe strike team, called the ultimate freedom fighting force, and got the handle G.I. Joe. Jon M. Chu is directing the Lorenzo di Bonaventura-produced action movie, which is bringing a mostly new cast to the franchise. Dwayne Johnson, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Stevenson and RZA are among the recruits for the second film. The movie begins shooting later this month in New Orleans. Paramount has staked out a June 29, 2012 release date. Willis, whose last starring gig was the hit Summit action movie Red, most recently shot the thrillers Cold Light of Day , the Henry Cavill -starrer that is in post-production, as well as Looper , directed by Rian Johnson. NBC's Wonder Woman Pictures & Pilot Review

ifanboy got their hands on the pilot from the never aired David E. Kelley’s Wonder Woman show on NBC. They were also able to take some screen shots from the show,    Adrianne Palicki  as Wonder Woman. Not bad right?  I really wish they would have given the show a shot and let the fans be the judge. Hopefully it will end up somewhere. . For contextual purposes, you might want to check out their review of the script before reading my review of the pilot. WHAT CHANGED FROM THE SCRIPT? While the overall plot remains the same, many of the details changed. Some notable elements that are missing from the pilot are: Themyscira – Throughout the script Wonder Woman constantly flashed back to her time on Paradise Island including her warrior training and meeting and falling for Steve Trevor. None of this appears in the pilot. Myndi Mayer – In the script she is Diana’s best friend and the press secretary at Themyscira Industries. She does not appear at all in the pilot; instead

NBC's Wonder Women's Full Costume. What Could Have Been

Ah what could have been if  NBC they didn't jump the pilot for the Wonder Women show. MMMMMM Today we get a full shot of Adrianne Palicki in the full, final Wonder Woman costume that would have been seen in the TV series, if the pilot had been picked up, star spangled shorts and all. She is in something closer to the Lynda Carter's outfit we all loved. And I have no clue who that freakishly scary guy next to her is maybe a villain on the show? Why Wonder Woman Didn't Get Pickup

Though he picked up plenty of high-profile projects like Playboy, The Firm and Prime Suspect , NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt knew he’d have to answer for the one project he didn’t greenlight: What the heck was wrong with Wonder Woman and why didn’t it make the schedule? Not surprisingly, Greenblatt was diplomatic about the reboot from Warner Bros. TV and David E. Kelley (after all, the uber-producer is also the man behind Harry’s Law, which earned a second season pickup). “I hate to disappoint anybody. I know there are legions of fans of the original show,” Greenblatt told EW. “I don’t know if it’s cursed or what. I just have this one experience. They made a really fine pilot and Adrianne Palicki did a fantastic job. You look at what you have, what you need, and it just didn’t seem to fit in with what we were doing. “We did what was best for the schedule,” Greenblatt continued. “It does give one pause. You’re almost damned if you and damned if you don’t. It’s tricky

Wonder Woman TV Show Not Given A Chance

This spring, no pilot was more buzzy, controversial, or intensely scrutinized than " Wonder Woman ." But evidently, buzz is not enough to overcome the stink of a misbegotten failure: This week, NBC declined to pick up the show. The news comes as the networks prepare for their upfront presentations (where they unveil their fall schedules for advertisers). " Wonder Woman " would have seemed to be a sure thing: It was produced by David E. Kelley, whose TV successes with the network date back to "L.A. Law," and starred geek-bait stars like Cary "The Princess Bride" Elwes and Elizabeth "Austin Powers" Hurley. But reports of its abysmal script (which was later rewritten, to slightly more positive effect) seem to have been borne out in a pilot episode NBC could not approve. The ongoing agita over the design of the title character's costume — which producers attempted to quell by announcing Wonder Woman would actually alternate three diff

Wonder Woman Costume Change

We all remember the first images we saw of Adrianne Palicki in the new Wonder Woman costume. Looks like enough fans cried and screamed that they did a redesign on her outfit. NBC took some of the criticisms to heart. I could care less, A sexy woman is a sexy woman in either outfit. To see pictures of the ageless Elizabeth Hurley on set, check them out HERE . The upcoming show stars Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman — aka Diana Prince, Elizabeth Hurley as villain Veronica Cale, the beautiful, highly educated head of one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the country who is afflicted with serious deep-seated Wonder Woman envy and Tracie Thoms will play the regular role of Etta, Diana Themyscira (Palicki)'s always cheerful personal assistant. David E. Kelley Talks Wonder Woman

The Peacock is also moving ahead with a Kelley-penned reboot of Wonder Woman , an idea that has the nerd herd up in arms. The upcoming show stars  Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman   — aka Diana Prince,  Elizabeth Hurley as  villain   Veronica Cale , the beautiful, highly educated head of one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the country who is afflicted with serious deep-seated Wonder Woman envy and  Tracie Thoms  will play the regular role of   Etta , Diana Themyscira (Palicki)'s always cheerful personal assistant. Speaking of inviting scrutiny: Wonder Woman . Why did you decide to take this on? Well I first said no, for all the obvious reasons. It’s not really what I do; it’s not a genre that’s in my wheelhouse. But then I started thinking about, What if there were such a person in today’s world and what must it be like to be her? And I was imagining the sense of social isolation that she must feel, that she indeed would probably be a rather complicated beast. When I

Adrianne Palicki As Wonder Woman

A few days ago we brought you the first look at the new Wonder Woman logo and some set photos of    Elizabeth Hurley .   And today  EW has obtained an exclusive first look of Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman — aka Diana Prince — from NBC’s reboot of the classic 1970s series. See the entire picture after the Jump... What’s different from what we’ve seen before? Well, how about those shiny blue pants? And blue boots instead of red ones? Compared to Lynda Carter’s get-up, this body-hugging extravaganza de-emphasizes the patriotism and seems to play up the comic’s Greek mythology. And a special shout-out to those bracelets! Wonder Woman is being remade by Boston Legal writer David E. Kelley, who has incorporated the superhero’s signature lasso, cuffs, and plane in the pilot. NBC promises the project, if picked up to series, will offer a serious, non-campy take on the DC Comics character. Along with Palicki, Elizabeth Hurley (Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me) and Cary Elwe

Red Dawn To Battle North Koreans

China has become such an important market for U.S. entertainment companies that one studio has taken the extraordinary step of digitally altering a film to excise bad guys from the Communist nation lest the leadership in Beijing be offended. When MGM decided a few years ago to remake " Red Dawn ," a 1984 Cold War drama about a bunch of American farm kids repelling a Soviet invasion, the studio needed new villains, since the U.S.S.R. had collapsed in 1991. The producers substituted Chinese aggressors for the Soviets and filmed the movie in Michigan in 2009. But potential distributors are nervous about becoming associated with the finished film, concerned that doing so would harm their ability to do business with the rising Asian superpower, one of the fastest-growing and potentially most lucrative markets for American movies, not to mention other U.S. products. As a result, the filmmakers now are digitally erasing Chinese flags and military symbols from " Red Dawn
