The Social Network Teaser Trailer

The Social Network Teaser Trailer Columbia Pictures has just released the very first teaser trailer for its upcoming film, The Social Network . Like the poster that debuted last week, the teaser is sparse in its detail, but intriguing and provocative at the same time. The Social Network, otherwise known as “the Facebook (Facebook) movie,” is based in part on the book The Accidental Billionaires. It chronicles the formative days of Facebook, from its founding in Mark Zuckerberg’s Harvard dorm room through its early rise to success. Written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by David Fincher, the film stars Jesse Eisenberg as Zuckerberg. It hits theaters this October. Watch the trailer after the jump.. The Social Network- Poster

The Social Network- Poster With all the issues over privacy and those truly annoying invites to play Mafia Wars or help with Farmville crops, Facebook is one of those fads that looks like it’s on the wane a little. But the story of the people who created it, and how the success poisoned their friendships, is still one we’re interested to see. Particularly as the result – The Social Network – boasts David Fincher in the director’s chair, working from a script by Aaron Sorkin. And now there’s a nicely creative poster for the movie. A nice twist on the usual use of heads in posters, matched by the Facebook-style bar at the side. With Jessie Eisenberg , Justin Timberlake and Andrew Garfield starring as co-founders Mark Zuckerberg, Sean Parker and Eduardo Saverin respectively, the movie uses Ben Mezrich’s book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal to chronicle the festering issues that drove the original trio to the

The "Capote" director is in negotiations to take the helm of the Brad Pitt starrer. Real-life story is based on Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane, who defied conventional wisdom and even his own scouts by fielding a baseball team of castoffs to create the ultimate underdogs en route to one of the most unlikely winning streaks in the history of professional sports. Steve Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin penned the script, which is based on Michael Lewis' best-selling tome. Stan Chervin wrote an earlier draft. Steven Soderbergh had been attached to direct the pic, which is considered a tricky sell overseas given baseball's limited appeal outside of the U.S. Columbia has been working to get the project back on track after studio topper Amy Pascal pulled the plug on the film just days befor
