BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

#FantasticFour Bombs At The Box Office

“ Fantastic Four ’s” opening weekend returns are looking less and less promising: The superhero pic is now on track for a $28 million opening weekend after pulling in $11 million on Friday. Movie Review: #TheFantasticFour- With a $120 million budget, a failure of “ Fantastic Four ” could be a tough blow for 20th Century Fox. Despite the reboot’s star power — Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell play the fearsome foursome — the pic hasn’t gained audience traction the way superhero movies generally do. In fact, the last major superhero release to bow below $35 million was Sony’s “ The Green Hornet ” ($33.5 million in 2011). Even the film’s director, Josh Trank, is distancing himself from the final product. “ Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation ” is poised to go neck-and-neck with “Fantastic Four” for weekend dominance, tracking to make up to $29 million this weekend after generating $8 million in Friday grosses. The fifth chapter in Paramount’s Tom Cruise fr

James Wan To Produce #MORTALKOMBAT Reboot

According to Trackingboard Furious 7 director James Wan is stepping in to produce the MORTAL KOMBAT reboot currently underway at New Line and Broken Road. The in-demand director of The Conjuring and Insidious: Chapter 2 has been brought over to uppercut some new life into the previously stunted picture. With his dark sensibility, ability to orchestrate action and scares, and a wildly successful financial track record, Wan seems to be the perfect fit for what the studio has described as “a departure from the mythology,” with “darker, brutally real martial arts.” The script, being penned by Mortal Kombat: Legacy writer Oren Uziel and The Expendables writer Dave Callaham, centers around a seemingly harmless guy who realizes his potential when he finds himself caught in the middle of a cross-dimensional battle between the warriors of Earth and the monsters of Outworld. Now, in order to stop the world from total destruction, he must win the martial arts tournament known as ‘Mort

Movie Review: #COPCAR The Coen Bros. Would Be Flattered

The Coen bros. would be flattered Thanks to RAMA for reviewing the film. Make sure to Follow RAMA on Facebook and Twitter . What a marvelous first rate thriller and it has Coen Brothers vibe to it. Intense and smartly written. It’s interesting to see two innocent young kids in the middle of all this chaos where the adults are trying cover their asses and just edging to blow each other brains out. Directed by Jon Watts whose next assignment is to bring us a brand new Spider-Man movie, this Sundance hit stars Kevin Bacon as a dirty corrupt small town sheriff. Trust me when I say you do not want to mess with the Kevin Bacon in “Cop Car,” because Bacon’s Sheriff Kretzer has no problem shutting you up if it means him getting away with murder. When a pair of ten-year olds find an abandoned cop car in a field, they take it for a joyride, they’re just innocent kids imagining like they’re some kind of race car drivers in the middle of nowhere. But what they don’t know is that that co

#PrisonBreak Limited Series Returning To Fox

Variety is reporting after much murmuring, Fox has confirmed that a new “ Prison Break ” limited series is officially a go. Dana Walden and Gary Newman, co-chairs and CEOs at Fox Television Group, told journalists the news on Thursday at Fox’s Television Critics Association panel. They also confirmed that original series stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell , as well as other original series actors, are also on board for the 10-episode project, which Walden called “a bit of a sequel.” She added that show creator Paul Scheuring “is writing it now” and it “picks up a few years after” the first series finale ended and “addresses questions that were set up during the series.” This news might be confusing to devout fans of the show who watched the straight-to-video film finale and therefore have questions about the casting news. “[Paul has] a very detailed and incredible story for while these characters become relevant again,” said Newman, while Walden added that there is

Is #TaronEgerton Headed To The Sherwood Forest?

According to Deadline Up-and-coming Brit actor Taron Egerton is in early talks with Lionsgate to star in Robin Hood: Origins as Sherwood Forest’s most famous son. The negotiations have just started and a deal might not make but Egerton, who put in a star-making performance in Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman: The Secret Service , is clearly top of the list for the project. Ironically, the success of Kingsman — a sequel to which is expected to get greenlit by Fox — may lead to scheduling issues, but Egerton has rapidly established himself as one of the UK’s most muscular young leading men. The actor, next stars opposite Tom Hardy in Brit gangster film Legend for director Brian Helgeland and Working Title. He also reunites with Vaughn — this time in a producing capacity — in Dexter Fletcher’s Eddie The Eagle opposite Hugh Jackman . Peaky Blinders‘ Bathurst is directing Lionsgate’s gritty, revisionist take on the legend. Joby Harold, the scribe who wrote Knights Of The Roundtable: Kin

Movie Review: #TheFantasticFour

After a promising start, The Fantastic Four descends into the rumored trainwreck. Review by Matt Cummings If the recent history of comic book movies has been one of glory, that success was built upon a myriad of high profile failures, none more so than first two Fantastic Four films, which premiered in 2005 and 2007. For fans hungry to forget those disasters, the newest incarnation will do nothing to fulfill that desire. Not a total embarrassment but far from a success, The Fantastic Four is the trainwreck we all feared. When the brilliant scientist Reed Richards (Miles Teller) and his childhood friend Ben Grimm (Jamie Bell) concoct a rudimentary dimensional transportation device, Reed is recruited by the Baxter Institute to complete their parallel research. Along the way, he enlists the help of the tempestuous engineer Johnny Storm (Michael B Jordan), his adopted genius sister Sue (Kate Mara), and the troubled Victor Von Doom (Tony Kebbell), who harbors a secret des

Movie Review: #IrrationalMan

The newest Woody Allen dramedy arrives decidedly DOA. Review by Matt Cummings In Writer/Director Woody Allen's Irrational Man , the college professor Abe (Joaquin Phoenix) is a lost soul whose sexual conquests have led him from one college to another. As a philosophy teacher, he's started to drink his own Kool Aid, ruminating about the meaninglessness of life and whether he should be a part of it anymore. Not even a new love interest in the form of one of his students (Emma Stone) can keep him from playing Russian Roulette at a college party. But when a chance to even life's odds arrives in a murder plot against a judge, Abe embarks on a journey of self-discovery that will see him and Jill wrestling with the biggest moral questions imaginable. If that sounds like it could be a good time, believe me it's not. Irrational Man is boring from the moment it arrives with Allen's trademark dull opening title cards. It never rises to a boil, even as Abe
