What Happened To Monday Clip 'Apartment' Noomi Rapace

In a not so distant future, where overpopulation and famine have forced governments to undertake a drastic "One Child Policy," seven identical sisters live a hide-and-seek existence pursued by the Child Allocation Bureau. The Bureau, directed by the fierce Nicolette Cayman ( Glenn Close ), enforces a strict family-planning agenda that the sisters outwit by taking turns assuming the identity of one person: Karen Settman ( Noomi Rapace ). Taught by their grandfather ( Willem Dafoe ) who raised and named them - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - each can go outside once a week as their common identity, but are only free to be themselves in the prison of their own apartment. Alien: Covenant Poster & New Release Date

The first thing you notice about the Alien: Covenant poster that has just been put online via 20th Century Fox's Twitter feed is the slavering jaws of a xenomorph (or whatever version exists in the film). And then you might also notice that the image indicates a change for the film - it'll arrive in May next year, instead of August. Alien: Covenant finds director Ridley Scott heading back to the Alien universe after Prometheus, and following a colony ship called the Covenant headed for a remote planet, a place that the crew initially thinks is an uncharted paradise but turns out to be dark and full of terrors. And the only inhabitant is synthetic life form David ( Michael Fassbender ), who claims to be the lone survivor of the Prometheus mission. Katherine Waterston, Demián Bichir, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez, Billy Crudup and Danny McBride make up the ship's crew, and it appears we'll catch up with Noomi Rapace 's Dr. Elizabeth Shaw. Plus

Danny McBride Joins Alien: Covenant

Many people complained about characters in Prometheus behaving stupidly, but it seems we ain't seen nothing yet. Danny McBride , star of Eastbound And Down and an integral part of the Rogen-Franco-Goldberg stoner comedy fraternity, is in early talks for a starring role in Alien: Covenant . If it happens he'll join the returning Michael Fassbender and new lead Katherine Waterston . But not Noomi Rapace . There are no details at all so far about the role McBride would play, but the situation has apparently come about through director Ridley Scott and McBride bonding over their mutual love of film. It's easy to make the obvious cracks about the hapless egocentric drug-addled sweary slacker pratfalling that McBride might bring to the Alien universe. But this could also be his opportunity to display a significant broadening of his range, in something like the way his fellow Rogenite Jonah Hill has done recently in Moneyball and The Wolf Of Wall Street. Whatever the cha

#KatherineWaterston Scores Lead Role In Alien: Covenant

According to Empire   Alien: Covenant contained the surprising intel that, while Noomi Rapace is set to show up again as plucky scientist Elizabeth Shaw, she'll only get a "minor part" this time, rather than the starring role. That's now backed up by the news that Katherine Waterston has been cast in what sounds like the lead. Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation's Rebecca Ferguson had previously been linked to the character - possibly named "Daniels" - but Waterston is now locked in. She'll also be in next year's Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, and this year appeared with Joaquin Pheonix in Paul Thomas Anderson's Inherent Vice and with Michael Fassbender in Danny Boyle's Steve Jobs. Fassbender will reprise his android David in Covenant. Scott has also recently confirmed that, following the curveball of Prometheus, Convenant will be a full-on Alien movie. "There was always this discussion:"

Noomi Rapace To Play Amy Winehouse In Upcoming Biopic

Though Asif Kapadia’s Amy did an excellent job of chronicling the turbulent, talented and cruelly short life of Amy Winehouse , you knew someone would want to make a drama about her. A biopic is now in the works, and Noomi Rapace is looking likely to play Winehouse. August Rush director Kirsten Sheridan is looking to stick with music for what is currently known simply as Amy Winehouse, which she has written for Subotica Films and which is now out looking for financing and distribution deals. Also in negotiation? Those all-important music rights, which can make or break a biopic like this. There’s a chance that could be a tough hurdle as Winehouse’s father is also reportedly trying to get his own film about his daughter made. Rapace is at work on sci-fi thriller What Happened To Monday? and will be back in the Prometheus world for Ridley Scott’s Alien: Paradise Lost, which starts shooting early next year. In music biopic terms, she’s also attached to play Maria Callas in Niki

Christian Bale & Noomi Rapace Could Join Enzo Ferrari Film

According to THR , Paramount Pictures has picked up distribution rights to Michael Mann ’s long-in-the-works Ferrari project titled Enzo Ferrari . At the same time, Noomi Rapace is in talks to star opposite Christian Bale , who will play Enzo Ferrari, the Italian auto mogul. The long-gestating project finally got traction when it secured funding from Vendian and YooZoo Bliss Fund. YouZoo will distribute the movie in China while Vincent Maraval’s Insiders will begin selling territories at AFM. The project adapts the 1991 book Enzo Ferrari: The Man, The Cars, The Races, The Machine written by Brock Yates. The book recounted Ferrari’s ascent -- working for Alfa Romeo first as a racer then as a developer, founding his own company in 1947, racing victories in the 50s and 60s, letting Fiat slowly take control of the company. But it also showed his tyrannical and manipulative nature, his pushing drivers to the breaking point (and even death), his hatred of his lifelong marriage and h

The Drop Review: Gritty, Noir Taste of Brooklyn Crime

The Drop is old-school crime with a lovable puppy thrown in for color. There's two different - and nearly diametrically opposed - Brooklyn, New Yorks: the new one, filled with hipsters and well-to-do's who attend Brooklyn Nets games at the arena. The other is the Brooklyn of my grandmother's time: working class, tough, and filled with characters you'd never pass on a dark walk home. This is the world surrounding The Drop , a classic gritty Noir thriller that brings Brooklyn back to its deservedly old-school status. Bob (Tom Hardy) lives a solitary life in his dead parent's home, attends a soon-to-be shuttered church, and tends bar at Cousin Marv’s, a Brooklyn dive owned by his cousin Marv (the late James Gandolfini). Unfortunately, Marv has lost the bar to a Chechen gang who use it on occasion as a drop for all the dirty money they're making. After a robbery goes down in the bar, the Chechens demand their lost money, suspecting an inside job. But
