BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE Featurette

Movie Review: Demolition

Gyllenhaal prevents tale of grieving from demolishing itself. Review by Brandon Wolfe On a seemingly unremarkable morning commute, Davis Mitchell (Jake Gyllenhaal) is sitting in the passenger seat half-listening to his wife Julia (Heather Lind) as she implores him to fix the leaky refrigerator back at home. This mundane scene from a marriage is violently upended by a deadly car accident, in which Julia is killed but Davis emerges unscathed. October 2014 Movies On Our Radar

After two terrible months, October shapes up nicely in our On the Radar Preview. We hate being right. Last month, we predicted that the Domestic Box Office for September 2014 would be one of the worst in recent memory, and it sadly kept its promise, slogging in well under 2013 with $273.8m and nearly beating the venerable 2001 haul of $268.5m. The quarter was also the worst since 1996, taking in just $2.5b - yes, that period includes Summer 'blockbusters.' This month, we find an appealing mix of WWII tank drama, spine-tingling horror, as well as a few genuine Oscar contenders. Here is our On the Radar preview for October 2014: Annabelle (October 1st) Plot: A couple begin to experience terrifying supernatural occurrences involving a vintage doll shortly after their hom

Jason Flemyng To Play Nightcrawler's Daddy In X-Men: First Class

Jason Flemyng To Play Nightcrawler's Daddy In X-Men: First Class We've known for some time that Jason Flemyng is director Matthew Vaughn's good luck charm, appearing in all his films to date - and sure enough, he has a role in X-Men: First Class , where he will play Nightcrawler's dad, Azazel . Today at Movie-Con he told us, "Matthew showed me my costume just the other day. Now I swore I’d never be in heavy make-up again, but this role is going to involve it. But at least they said, “Don’t worry, we’ll add the tail in post”. I am Azazel, and I can teleport by waving my arms [gestures like a cross between a flamenco dancer anda Bollywood star].” As really big X-Men fans will know, Azazel is a teleporting creature from another dimension who tried to impregnate human women in the hope that one of his children would provide him with a permanent link to this plane that he could use to come back here. And fear not: we confirmed after Flemyng left the stage that
